Re: Seer is bad and won’t be fixed in time

@hayhor I want things to be fixed because I want us all to enjoy ourselves.

But a small (and sour) part of me wants to see how far EA/Respawn can take the bad decisions before people genuinely say “ok enough is enough”. This current Seer in an ALGS tournament would be ridiculous, and would result in a LOT of outrage. I don’t want this to happen but I feel like maybe it needs to.

I want the devs to think really hard before releasing a Legend, and I want them to reconsider their whole “launching a legend super strong” mentality.

To be fair here everyone says this about every new legend. Its OP because people have yet to learn how to counter him. 1 being his ult can be destroyed. 2 being his Q may be able to track people but honestly if your sound is good you will hear what he can ping. The tactical it self takes skill as a lot of times you can throw it and it wont hit anyone I have had it happen quite a few times. He is a very technical legend to properly be played. But when Horizon launched everyone complained she was OP its OP because people have not adapted. It effects my game play none to play against this legend.

I don’t think this is a matter of adaptation. I’m ok with having to adapt to new metas.

The issue is: should Apex become a game where there are numerous wallhacks every single match. Perhaps it’s a matter of preference— I don’t want games to devolve into this. I (and others) will gladly go play other shooters.
  • You're not completely wrong E9, but I think this is an exception.  And, the player base isn't always incorrect.  Horizon on launch was too OP, I think she's fine now.  Fuse got complaints on launch and now (correctly) he's buffed.  Valk is probably more of a game changer than that she's too OP; with her added and Horizon, it makes other great characters too weak who now need a buff (and badly, too)...so that isn't about that Valk is OP, more that other characters now need help since they changed the game.

But Wall Hack is a problematic ability in any game.  Bloodhound had already been being complained about once he got the ability to 'spam' his scan.  Still, he was just one character.  Seer is way beyond.  I think this is pretty dead on that he's OP here, despite that, sure, usually people complain about all characters on launch.  I don't think when you see how teams are set up that this is just the regular bout of complaints anymore.

@E9ine_AC Yes but most of us know how to weed out the every season whiners and what is legit. And this is legit.

I don't even care about wall hacks. Scan me or don't scan me, I'll just go kill you anyway. Seer can just do too much, that's my issue. Gibby can do too much, but Seer does like twice as much as him. You shouldn't have 5-6 abilities in one tactical. And if you do, the cooldown should be like 2.5-3 minutes.

    No.

It's not a problem when a Legend is strong, like Horizon was, but when a Legend breaks the game.
His tactical is idiot proof, it's wide like a train tunnel and in combination with his passive you literally can't miss it. Not to mention the 10 things it does to you, it's like somebody was joking and the ability somehow ended in the game.
His Ultimate can be countered that's true, but once you have a fight with 2-3 Seers you can't tell where he dropped his Ulti in order to destroy it because now you have milion visual effects and you have to watch out 360 degrees now that everybody in the area has maphack.

Those two can be fixed with nerfs, however his Passive is what's breaking the game. Once a fun, fast and action packed game will become slow and boring because nobody will try to make a move, make a play, or start a fight now that the entire lobby has maphack.
I play since day 1 and not a single Legend, or meta change (besides Disruptor rounds) has ruined the fun, the base concept and everything that makes Apex one of the best shooters.
