This is because they lost alot of players due to loot box scandals where after lvl 100 you have to pay for them!

Plus they lost almost 60% of players with code leaf sizzle I.e I only played 11 matches in season 2 due to couldn't finish a bloody match, so more hackers = more players to boost stats to ea about how good there fame is going
