To lag, or not to lag, that is the question!

At the end of a gold  ranked game, I have no idea if this is lag or some sort of beam me up technology at work here. I'd be interested to know what you think. My subsequent dispatch was very very pro...

    @OldTreeCreeper Looking at it, it seems that the Bangalore was not moving at all for about a second, while you were slowly adjusting. This means that the game was probably not getting updates, that's why the lag icon appeared right after. I think Bang noticed you and started shooting earlier than you realized, then moved fast around that tree and continued shooting. From his point of view, you were like a sitting duck, so a single mag was enough to take you down. Your lag spike was short though, so you immediately received multiple updates at once and got vaporized.

    Not ruling out a cheater, but I think you would've been beamed much earlier, from the moment Bang turned towards you. Also, your lag spike seems too sudden to be caused by a cheat that was just turned on.

    @DoYaSeeMeif you look at the ring counter on the left, it stopped at 3.31 seconds then resumed at 1.32 seconds, that's a solid 2 seconds of the game completely froze and it's enough to 1 mag anyone especially from that position.
    that is not lag, that was one step prior to the game completely crash XD

      @maximas1986 It's a lag spike alright. Game was not completely frozen, otherwise @OldTreeCreeper would've been unable to move or aim, therefore noticing the connection problem immediately. When the disconnection persists beyond a certain threshold (like 5-10 seconds), then it freezes, to prevent awful prediction errors, and waits for a few more seconds until the reconnection attempts time out. That's the moment when the game throws the player out with the connection to server timed out a.k.a. "code:leaf".

      A crash is when the game is completely unresponsive for a longer while (e.g .for more than 30 seconds) and the only way out is a reboot or a forced process end from the task manager.

        @DoYaSeeMe I noticed that everything in the environment around him stopped moving, trees, grass ...etc ......except for him XD
        so in my dictionary that's a match killer , I you'd prefer the game completely crash rather than live this moment 🙂

    @DoYaSeeMe I didn't even notice the lag icon in the top right  utill you pointed it out. I think you are right. Oh to have young eyes 😃
