@Daze623

I don't see you referring to current one in your post.

PK was actually considered to be too inconsistent to the point that they buffed it in season 3, and even then it was not close to being the weapon that had most complains that season - that was charged rifle (the one they had to hottfix early into the season). And still people cried more over R99 than PK in season 3. So yeah donno what game you have been playing.

PK was not even moved to carepacket due to Respawn thinking it was too powerful, they simply commented that they wanted to change the meta.

And when it comes to bringint it back : "This season we decided to keep the care package contents the same to allow for the meta to settle in with the addition of the 30-30, a weapon that has a somewhat similar charging mechanic," wrote Eric Canavese, Gameplay Designer at Respawn. "We know the peacekeeper is a fan favourite and is one of the first weapons we consider coming out of the care packages each season so keep an eye out in the future!" No comment on the mastiff returning to the Care Package in exchange was made here.

nah I'm talking about preseason PK. Every complains that everyone have with Mastiff is the same complains they have with PK. Isn't it obvious that I'm referring to the current meta? I'm talking about Mastiff here a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with it and a lot of people want it either nerfed to the ground or just brought back to CP. I know why they moved it to CP. Also not everything needs to be an argument with you I was just joking when I said "Mastiff would like to have a word with you".

  • @Daze623  actually the complaints people had over PK was very different than they had with Mastiff.

PK after season 3 buff, people complained that you could out snipe people with choke PK better than an Longbow (108 damage with a shotgun from long range). Complaint people had with Mastiff - that it was actually stronger in close range than PK.

@NitromethaneAP I like that I clarified that I was talking about preseason PK but for some reason you're bringing out season 3 PK. You know what congrats you win. :D
  • @Daze623  PK was still carepackage in season 6. And not even complained much about that season, when people talk about PK + complaints they refer to season 3 and not 6 LTM. Anyhow, hope you learnt something new. Bye

  • @Daze623  thought you actually played the game when people complained about PK and not from a LTM lol. And not understanding that the LTM from season 6 has the changes that I am talking about from season 3. Eh okay bye.

  • @Daze623ah I thought you were talking about the LTM from the pre season 👿 - confusing as hell lol.

I dont really recall much complaints about PK in season 0, it was mostly on R99 - Wingman - R301. Since PK still had its flaws, you had to be really good to win fights against R99/Devotion/R301 in close range - and many people actually didnt use it much since they said it was too inconsistent - they would claim they hit all pellets and do 20 damage.

There were a few really good PK MnK players back than, that would flick shot - but those were really rare, and they would still lose against R99-Devotion-R301 in close range if they missed just once. It was not as forgiving as Mastiff is, and pre season 3 changes, most didnt even see it as mandatory for CQC (that became a thing in season 3).

  • @Daze623 I remember once we landed skulltown and I had a PK, I walked out of there with 8 kills(yes, that's an achievement for a noob like me!).

@BaldWraithSimp  well I walked out from skulltown with 20 longbow kills, against some PK´s in close range - doesent really say much, Longbow stronger than PK in close range? Sure if you outplay people. PK was a lot harder to be good at back than (season 3 anyone could use it and it also became a better sniper weapon than Longbow). And thats when people starting complaining alot - that a shotgun was a better sniper weapon than most sniper weapons.

@NitromethaneAP20 longbow kills? If you say so.....If you said 20 PK kills, I would believe you.

Honestly, I don't get why PK has choke on it? It's a shotgun, not a sniper.

@NitromethaneAP Man I want the same shrooms you have been eating if you have ever thought longbow was better at close range than pk that could literally oneshot you...
  • @KarvaRauskuHyperbolic statement (I thought that was quite clear) "are usually quite obvious exaggerations intended to emphasize a point, rather than be taken literally".

    TLDR

You could outplay bad players using PK´s - not that Longbow was stronger in close range.

Meaning PK in close range was not a guranteed win - not even vs a Longbow if the PK player was a bot.

Mastiff on the other hand is, even if people miss 2-3 shots they still probably might win the fight (due to how forgiving it is while stronger than PK in CQC).

@NitromethaneAP @I was being sarcastic.  I had predicted in the ‘nurf MastiffFFF!!1,” conversation that apparently every weapon that killed people was Osp and soon people would just complain about a new weapon within 2 weeks and here we are.

All weapons that do over zero damage are OP! Nerf them all!
