Re: why duo stack ruins the game

Ah yes, because a team of two solo randoms is significantly better lol.

@MandatoryIDtag it did not talk about skill i talked about team work. i do not care if my team suck with aim but what makes me mad is because they are 2 players they don't want to work with the solo

@Danskermand I feel your pain. Whenever I get duos on arena it's like I'm playing with 2 bots that have no idea how to work together. They split up and take fights on their own. They're just horrible.

@MandatoryIDtag NGL I kinda prefer solo players more cause they're usually more adaptive compared to duos that usually rely on comms
  • @Daze623 Duos often use comms outside the game and although this is true of lots of other games I think it's a big problem in Apex. If the comms in the game were so good that people wanted to use them instead of something else, then there would be much less problems between players.
It's something that is evident to anyone who has recently played games where everyone talks using mics in game.
    This is my experience, anyway.

@MandatoryIDtag Duos have been both the best and worst teammates I've ever had. If they're in game chat then I'll probably enjoy the best teamwork I've had all night and laidback/fun atmosphere... most of the time. There was one toxic Caustic/Pathfinder duo that was the exception. If they're in party chat then I'd honestly rather have players who just picked up the game.

    1. They ignore all of my pings and callouts (it's not obvious they're a duo just because they aren't speaking.)

    2. Rotate or push a fight with 0 warning (no pings no verbal callouts if in party chat.)

    3. Loot before picking me up even if I went down saving one of them

#2 is honestly the worst for me since I spend more time anxiously watching the little map at the top to see if they've left me or not and I still never noticed. Unskilled random players often try to adjust to your play and callouts so at least you die together.

  • @Danskermand  I wasn't referring to skill either bud. I've ranked as a trio duo and a solo( playing alongside randoms duo's also) since ranked was introduced.

I do understand where you're coming from, but I'd rather adapt to a duo's playstyle than deal with the complete disorganisation you get when playing with 2 other solo randoms.

I'll say the same thing I say to anyone else when stuff like this gets discuss, actively try and find yourself a premade. It takes a while but it's definitely possible to find like minded players.

    @Danskermand

I have to agree with @hayhor and @MandatoryIDtag I would rather play with a stacked duo in trios ranked or pubs than completely two other Randoms.

Coms can be a bit iffy but usually the duo is speaking with each other and me or you so to speak as the solo random has a better chance at playing as a full team, as the third wheel so to speak it is then on us to attempt to play and adapt to the duo's playstyle so as to function better. I do not mean that if the duo does dumb stuff follow and die or if they are toxic that you have to stick with them. In that case do your own thing. I have had a lot of amazing games when I solo Q'ed and got a premade duo as teammates. Most of those games netted top 5 or better and quite a few of those were wins in which all three of us pulled our weight even without comms, the ping system can be very effective.

I will say I have had duo's that do make the experience painful sometimes but that tends to be the rare case for me.

I would rather have a duo premade than two other Randoms otherwise when I can I just play with my two friends as a premade trio and the problem is completely solved.

@MandatoryIDtag but i play for fun and it is fun to win but it is not fun to get * on by bad behavior from a duo stack. and well 10 out 9 times they run in and die alone without any coms and gets mad at you even when you tell them you are not ready yet.

@Asmodeus566 best respawn can do is make avoid duo stack option i rater wait 5mins to get a good game then playing 10 games getting more and more mad because of duo stacks not wanting to paly as a team.
