You can get away with a 1 stack ammo on the Wingman, and no, it isn't aim assist, which is the worst of all the worst arguments (I'm going to give PC players Aim assist, and make all their keyboard response times 2 seconds slower, so they can get an idea of what its like to play with a controller).
The biggest complaint about the Wingman is hit reg, which I'll just post up about in a different topic, but does also suck. Having said that, if you are registering hits, the Wingman is simply a good gun, among the top 5. This will never change because, like characters, your gun balance in this game is super broken. The difference is, in game, you can pick up and change guns, you can't change characters.
Again, just use it if you are so saddened by getting killed by it. The thing is too good right now, and it's hard to balance because it's one of those sucks or great guns. Actually, right now, I think it is in an okay place because, unlike other weapons, you do have to actually score your hit as opposed to just generaly aim and hold down trigger for 30 bullets.
