@hayhorThere's probably a way to implement a demotion system that doesn't allow you to be demoted from lets say Masters, all the way down to, Silver.
Something needs to budge tho, for example, giving more RP to the last standing teammate, just brain storming here.
What I do know is, typical games of Plat 4 lobbies, are the jumpmaster diving frag thinking it'll be the same outcome as he had in Gold lobbies, they insta die, and the better player ends up solo, with the option of going for a suicide mission to recover banners, or hoping for a quick kill off the drop to rat himself to a 5th place finish to recoup a few measly rank points.
This is honestly 80% of Plat 4 games, and if you do get lucky with a few good games in a row, you'll lose the acquired RP within all the bad ones that follow. I find myself needing to be a really selfish teammate in order to rank up from Plat 4, and we all know what that brings to the table, toxicity!
I should add, this is my experience as a solo queuing player, which rank has never been rewarding to.
