remove premading in ranked games

@RevMainPls I'm assuming that since having two separate queues is not possibile since wait time would be too long, especially in high tier ranked where it already takes too much time to find a game. Also as @hayhor mentioned, MM already does something about solo queuing and premade queuing. And i'm talking as a guy that mostly plays solo, i'm really not seeing the issue here.

I do have to say that @Cro_Pittt is correct especially when looking at higher tier lobbies. Diamond and above rank make up 2.5% or 5% (depends on whet data you look at) of the overall player base and MM q times can be longer. If this is further diluted by 2 different types of Q's it might not be viable. The Devs would have the data and would be able to decide if that is or is not a viable option and that might already be why this is not being done.
- @Asmodeus566 Well ofc the queuetimes would go up but how much is something we simply cant know and would be an interesting test, higher end players tend to sit in queues for 10mins in most games and its usually not that bad.
Premade Pred´s are spoiled with their low queues compared to other games, but they have such low queues on the cost of the rest of players tbh @Asmodeus566Top level queues are already 10+ minutes. No way those could be seperate. And the lower levels shouldn't have different rules than the top.

@hayhor I fully agree with you. I do not think that splitting the ques would work very well and (if at all) also do not think something like that could or should cater to specific ranks.
What @RevMainPls suggested is not a bad suggestion however like I said it is probably not a viable solution to his (and others) problem.

- @RevMainPls I watch a lot of streamers....nicewigg, rogue, jankz, shiv etc. And their ranked queue times stretch 10+ minutes a lot. It happens more when they lose early on because now they have to wait for others to lose to get back in the queue. This is one of the reasons they made masters and diamond easier to reach and increased the number of preds.
'Team Based Game'
Sure, by marketing, but when playing with the public, it's mostly a play alone game. People SAY they want 'team play' but they MEAN, 'Do what I want you to do when I want you and tell you to do it!"
If you removed premades, then you would literally have none team play at all. You can look to Overwatch to see what kind of disaster that turned out to be, with forced character roles and other stupid mechanics to try to force people to 'work as a team' rather than simply giving them incentives enough to.
Apex Legends does not incentivize public team play. In fact, it favors ignoring your public team mates. Only premade teams act like teams, mostly also and not always. Sure, I get there's a difference between a server with premades and servers without, the premades have a big advantage.
Still, you'd have a massive population drop if you forced only premades, so the best option is to make sure you have different server games. One with only premade teams, and the other with only public teams. I'm not sure that's feasible, but then at least you'd have a team marketed game with premade teams facing premade teams, and then a bunch of people running around no longer buying into a marketing illusion and understanding what it is really all about when you are playing in public.

Do you play as a team player, when playing with Randoms?
Do you have people you 3 stack with and play as a team?
Do you solo Q and just forget about the other two Players?
Or do you solo Q with the no fill option?
The discussion is/was not about public games but rather Ranked games.
No one suggested forced premade teams however for a team based game if you are going to play with Randoms one would have to find a middle ground to play as a team.
I have had some of my most fun games (not necessarily the best games) playing as a team with 2 Randoms quite often.
If premade teams (playing with friends) was no longer possible the game would no longer be worth it in my opinion.

Making it easier to hit diamond and master is not really fixing the issue that you legit throw people in a meatgrinder to entertain streamers.
The overall ranked system is very flawed in apex, on top is usually the one that plays most and only in a premade squad
And if half of the dia+ playerbase plays mainly alone you think it is good that they just exist for a pred squad to farm them?
A pred squad shouldnt be in the same lobby as a dia solo player - @RevMainPls It was their way of fixing it. They added players to the possible queue.
What is the fix to the system? And you can't say just seperate it because that means there won't be enough people. The vast majority of Apex games, ranked or otherwise, are awful if you are trying to play as a team with a group of strangers, though if you have to and just can’t get over playing on your own because it says ‘team game’ in the commercial and you gotta believe, then play Arenas.
I play the part of the game I enjoy, when I enjoy it.

Well said. It is always best to play with a set team when you can in any mode. Solo Q`ing with other Randoms can be hit and miss but I tend to have about 70% of the time decent Randoms. with that said people need to stack up when they can and just deal with the rest.
