Part of the fun of a game like Apex Legends @DesiredHeadshot is that ammo is not something the is infinite. You need to loot it, I have found that the best approach is to not be afraid to drop a weapon and grab another one. If running low on ammo and I'm unable to find any I simply look for another and swap it. You could also ask squad mates for ammo.

Talking early game when looting 3-4 places and finding maybe 3 boxes of ammo for your gun with a bunch on empty looting spots or ammo for guns that aren't around. Sucks I'm going to have to play solo due to people not wanting to stay after being downed and seeing me run away from them to find another gun or ammo. Just something I've noticed when playing.
No way dude. It seems to me Apex is designed to hamper any one player from being too dominant, at least on console.
Slow character move speed prevents those able to properly use a faster movespeed from outplaying opponents or quickly repositioning
high time to kill means individual players need more time to down one player, giving the players being shot and their teammates more time to react
small mag sizes means less possible damage output (contributes to higher TTK) also it's not satisfying to walk around looking at an enemy player trying to reload every 2 seconds
no reload canceling. Another trick the experienced players use to gain an advantage that's absent. Less outplay potential for those who'd otherwise be able to do it
slow sprintout times hampers those capable of quickly repositioning and firing from another position
healing that makes you immobile and defenseless, artificially slowing the game down
All of the above (and much more) affect solo players more than premade teams, and solos are already at a disadvantage against a squad. All of these tricks and raw mechanical ability that those experienced and elite players would otherwise use in Apex are absent.
The game is pretty rough without a coordinated, premade squad.
Games like Call of Duty that have low time to kill, fast player movespeed, proper access to gear, and generally fast actions such as Blackout's sprinting while healing mechanic, enable those players to outplay multiple enemies at once. That's why people keep coming back to stuff like CoD, year after year, after year. A lot of that stuff just isn't a part of Apex. It's a slow paced shooter, and don't let a field of view of 100 or 110 fool you into thinking it's a fast game. Play on the default FOV of 70, especially on console
Slow character movement is the only issue I have. While they may not sprint like an olympic sprinter, you can get across the map relatively easy between sliding, balloons, 'Q' specials. I actually think this is fast paced gameplay.
I don't think its fast all. It certainly feels faster after you turn up the field of view past the native 70, but that's an illusion. You aren't actually moving faster.
Sliding for a speed boost can only happen downhill, and only gives increased speed if the hill is steep enough. Also prevents sharp lateral movements while sliding. Situational at best
There's no vehicles. Balloons require several seconds of being exposed while making predictable movement up the rope. Slow mantle speed. It takes a few seconds to climb up a ledge, or up a house, or over a wall

Interesting perspective. I think it far surpassed PUBG in movement speed. Only played like 2-3 games in Fortnite so don't know about that. You can slide on anything that is even slightly downward if you jump and slide. Between the large amounts of ziplines (the robots zipline/grapple who I mostly main until they figure out Caustic), balloons, etc it just seems so fast paced to me.
Oh yeah, for sure Apex is much faster than PUBG. But, that game is isn't trying to be a Call of Duty Blackout clone with heroes from Overwatch. PUBG is one of the slowest shooters out there, to get any slower you'll have to check out military simulators
The zip lines do give you more access to to move around, but your enemies can use them too, you're making noise, and traveling in a slow, exposed, and predictable manner in the open. It's faster travel, but not faster agility. Same type of movement capability as the balloons
- I dont have a problem with ammo anymore, since i just steal the ammo from the dead body crates , i always have well over 300 , if you are a passive player though you will struggle with ammo no doubt
I think the way players have to scavenge for ammo also forces players to create strategies to overcome ammo shortages. I really like it as it's a challenge to come up with the correct strategy.
Do you use one type of ammo or two or three? Do you change strategy depending on how many inventory slots you have or the stage of the match?
It's nice to put your thinking cap on to get an edge or to survive because you didn't find the opportunity to make your strategy work.
- Carry? there is no carry, it's a team game.
