I don't understand why you wouldn't want to play against people your skill level.It just sounds to me, a bunch of bullies want to go into low skilled based game and just massacre entire lobbies to get kills. "But I want to meet and play with new people" is a poor attempt for an excuse. Just admit you want to smash n00bs for easy wins, stop lying to yourselves, there's NO other reason.

Yeah whenever people cry about SBMM in any game it's almost always because they wanna stomp newbs or low rank players and get into games with people wayyyy under their rank.....which is lame af.Play against your own rank, stop trying to get easy kills on people who aren't anywhere near your skill level and then stream/youtube it to make yourself look good. If you're good you should be able to stream and youtube without padding your stats/clips with stomping newbs or low rank players🙄🙄🙄🙄

I seem to be in the middle. I am not great but have 600 kills with wraith, 65 wins total and 600 kills with assorted other legends. I seem to get put into lobbies with sweat lords. Winning is impossible now and I get a mudhole stomped in me most matches.

Maybe it hasn’t been made clear enough either here or on reddit. The main gripe in SBMM has been coming from seasoned players, level 100 or higher. I can’t speak nor would I choose to for everyone. However my gripe and it has been echoed here and on reddit is the balance of the game has shifted since the Sbmm was introduced end of season 2. I have spoken about this and linked articles in other posts regarding the confirmation from developers about sbmm and what it regards. Now to the reason why I am unhappy about it and how it ruins my games with randoms. If any of my friends still jump on we play ranked, however I am not going to solo rank. So my option is to pub randoms. On average I am lucky to get 1 teammate above level 50. No they are not smurf accounts. Yet the teams I am facing in these games are rocking 4K and 20 kill badges. Plus from the drop ship you get to see all the shiny trails. To clarify I have no problem with fighting people or squads better than me. I win great I lose oh well. But to be handicapped from the get go with a squad of teammates who can’t land, can’t figure out which guns go with which attachments, ammo for which guns. Run into the first fight with no clue on where the enemy actually is. Well it gets pretty frustrating 3-4 games in a row with teammates unloading clip after clip and leaving the game to see 20 or less damage. Seriously not making this up, last night alone had 4 games in a row with 5+ kills and at least one teammate with less than 20 damage, one of those games a teammate with zero damage and they were blasting a charge rifle like it was a devotion.I digress, it is the lack of matching you to similar teammates in randoms that is frustrating for me. One player somewhat capable and one noob fine, but we shouldn’t be loaded into a predator lobby. I can honestly say I feel sorry for my under 50 teammates because most of the time they don’t even know where they got shot from. They aren’t looking for grapple sparks,wraith vapor trails or a mirage ultimate in the distance. They sure aren’t listening for footsteps or the clank of Bangalore’s barrels. This should be and was a fun game to play with randoms, now it feels like 1 v 3 every game. Sometimes I come out on top most times if I do I am third partied before I can Rez a teammate let alone heal.So that in a nutshell is my issue with the sbmm at the moment. I have been asking for it for awhile tbh. But it has to go in a direction that balances the game for all players. And to be quite honest solos would fix it altogether, but we will probably get that about the time the code disconnects get fixed.

@DankTolietI wouldn’t say its fair especially if you don’t play the game everyday , People who have 1k -10k kills should be getting matched with each other not putting people with 6k kills against people with 20k+ kills because these people do not log off the game they literally dedicate their entire life to this game it’s annoying to play against these type of players and in game hours should play a part with the algorithm match making.

@SethCurryThe question becomes what are they basing matchmaking off of then? Kills/Playtime/KD/Rank Level?

I agree, at no point should a bronze level player have to face off against Predator leveled players in ranked AND in Pubs.

@DankToliet i would like to know this also actually. Been having great teammates and lobbies in general the past fews days, really enjoyable matches with some tough fights.
Yet i'm playing this evening and i've had maybe one level 50+ player. Last team consisted of a level 5 and a 17.
Now i don't mind playing with newbies but i just know i'm essentially on my own in any gun fight, and since i'm not a pro player its a little stressful at times haha.
So yeah...what's the criteria for this?

Guys the lack of game modes is what is causing the issue in the first place let’s be real. Additionally not everyone is trying to sweat every time they play the game. Legit if you want to play in a skill based setting it’s called ranked. As an apex predator myself, sometime I’m just looking to join a pubs match solo and stomp on kids, but currently thanks to SBMM I’m queuing solo with kids who are rocking full teams and that’s what makes this current delema so in enjoyable. It’s not the people your queued with it’s the fact that other are working more intently as a team so when you queue solo you get *. That’s why pubs matches should be randomize and ranked should be for skill based match making. Of course people will agree and disagree but the root of the problem isn’t the individuals your getting paired with it’s the fact that there’s no game modes that cater to the solo player. So blame the game modes not the sweats playing them

@F1YBYN1GHT There's an SBMM in place, it has been since end of season 2. Whether or not there's more game modes available, the SBMM would still be implemented, only with longer queue times since you're dividing the player base.....so what's your point here?

@DankToliet My stepson is completely upset over this SBMM, he said if you want to play against people of skill play ranked, if you want to kill noobs play casual. Sad to say the stepson is a dirty seal clubber.
