Why do I only get master/predators lobbies in public matches? Sbmm is a big problem for fragile casual like me and no, I don't want bot lobbies either, I want lobbies that match my skill, I have played Apex since it came out and this must be the worst state of sbmm I have ever seen.If you have a ranked playlist, why do you need to make public matches ranked also? In a perfect world you would remove sbmm from public and keep it in ranked? It's not about "git gud", take for example a new player and put him/her in a lobby matching their skill, what happens if that person somehow gets 12 kills in that game? He/she is going to have a very bad time from here on out, that person will only be put into lobbies with people who are far better at the game and will eventually quit the game.If my 2,5 k/d makes me an apex predator then fine, but I want the skydive trail then.

People with those kinds of stats complaining are either naive, have unreasonable expectations, or are just humble bragging to get attention.Try walking in the shoes of the truly average solo queue player (like me) . . . ~1.0 KDR at most, <5% win rate, and long streaks of matches at a time (sometimes 10 or more) where you are getting absolutely obliterated in record time with absolutely no chance. Queue, drop, die, quit to lobby . . . lather, rinse, repeat until SBMM decides to throw you a bone with a lower lobby. Then you'll do well (4+ kills and maybe a W) and SBMM will immediately bump you up a lobby to get destroyed again for another hour or so.@Twizted3k_tvIMO, people that enjoy pubstomping for more than just a game or two are just immature trolls. If it is rampant, how does that help keep the game alive? The answer is that it wouldn't because people don't play video games to lose repeatedly in humiliating fashion. They'll go find something else to do that's a more positive experience. Too many people do that and the game dies.

"Casual" players are 1.0 KDR or less who don't play much.I'm a 1.0 KDR trash can who solo queues most of the time can and the MM still.puts me closer to your lobbies than it does to bot lobbies. If I'm running into you and your 2.5 KDR, it ticks me off.

@reconzerospare me that phony blogpost ... its simply not the truth for quite some of us. and its written so vague and leaves out crucial information eg. what those other variables are or how that hidden skillvalue is even remotely calculated. imho that post was just to calm the horses for a brief amount of time and make people hyped on stuff that never came to light. Things might work out in the math they invented ... but as so often ... real life doesnt care about well crafted statistics

@Twizted3k_tv why DO YOU think facing similar skilled opponents is a negative thing? Do you think anyone would watch or play sports if it was the world's best vs C tier local social clubs? Where's the competition in that? Sounds boring to me 🥱'your whole post reads as cope' yeah, I don't think I'm the one trying to cope lol

@mikkeltorne1 If you have a legit, non quitting 2.5 kd you can make masters. You are in the proper lobbies.

I googled what is considered a high kd in apex, apparently 2.5 is high?
It just doesn't feel that way. When you constantly get put together with 3 stack masters/preds.
It's especially not fair when I play with my friends that have lower kd.
On the other hand, I play on PlayStation and I can't find match without have to enable crossplay, I don't have 240 fps with 5 ping?
Sorry for complaining like a child in a toy store.

@mikkeltorne1 It is ok. The MM has serious issues but yeah with a 2.5 kd you are probably in the top 1% of all players. I'd guess most players are less than .8 kd, maybe even .7. I know plenty of diamond level players who are around 1.2 or so if that gives you perspective.

Unfortunately what you mention about playing with friends is true. Premades get punished pretty severely as the game tries to as many premades together as possible. And the devs admitted that premade MM was going by the highest MMR in the group, although they said they were going to change it.

@mikkeltorne1 Oh and regarding crossplay. You don't have to worry about 240 fps as BR is consoles only with crossplay on. Mixtape has an issue right now putting pc and console together but BR does not.

I didn't know that 2.5 kd is high, but maybe it's because I compare my k/d to streamers and youtubers? Which seems low by then.
Yeah, the thing about premades are very unfortunate. My friends always tells me make a new account, I have tried it once and I feld like I was cheating.
Not only did I feel like I was cheating in game, but also myself, I didn't earn a victory, I took advantage of new players, which feels terrible and I believe is also a big no no.

This whole post just reads as a humble brag. You have a 2.5kd, which means you're obviously getting kills... are you upset you don't get to pub stomp every game?
And no, your KD doesn't make you a predator, ranked is often a completely different game and if you want that title you have to put in the time for for it

I'm not trying to brag, im just frustrated with the current sbmm. I didn't know 2.5 is considered high?
As I said, I don't want new player lobbies, I just want lobbies with players that match me, nothing more.
The thing about getting the dive trail was just a joke.
And yes, I know that ranked is not all about KD or sick movement.
