@SulanSr Personally, I have enjoyed every season, simply because I play the game casually and just play to have fun. Don't get me wrong, I do get frustrated with balance/bugs from time to time, but I don't take gaming stats seriously enough to let it effect my opinion of the game. I don't really grind ranked, mostly pubs and arena. I reached plat in season 4, but I don't have dedicated friends that play enough, so I don't bother. I don't have the patience to solo queue in ranked haha
For this new season, after the two evenings of playing, I'm enjoying it. I do hope that they nerf the duration of Seer's ult, as I feel it lingers for a while. Right now, it's beneficial for me though, because my buddy has switched from Mirage to Seer, so the intel is nice. Just seems a little (or a lot) strong right now. I know Respawn wants fast paced matches, but it feels like there's no sneaking up on anyone anymore lol. I've encountered a LOT of Seer/Bloodhound/Bangalore squads the last two days.
I like the Rampage, but definitely feel like it needs a recoil or damage nerf, as it seems really strong right now. Likely intentional, as other people have mentioned about new legends/weapons to draw in more players for a new season, but hopefully it is adjusted soon.
One thing I love about Apex, is that it is a more aggressive BR. I like the fast pace of it. I played PUBG for a while when it first came out, but it just felt somewhat boring to me, with too much down time and quiet time. I enjoy the fast pace, constant pushing on Apex, because it reminds me of the chaos of Halo 3 back in the day. I have a short attention span, so I get bored with games easily, and Apex keeps me focused during matches. I got tired of CoD after playing practically every title since CoD4, so I just don't vibe with it anymore.
I'm not sure how to check how many hours played, but I've been playing since week 1 or 2. I would categorize myself as an average, casual player for sure (k/d around 1.0 and win rate around 5-7%, I believe, but has probably declined with the new recon legends/revtane meta), so I still have a blast playing the game daily, luckily! It definitely feels quite a bit different than at launch, but for me, it's definitely a good thing, as I would have gotten bored with the game a long time ago if not. That just goes back to my attention span. I play all sorts of games, but this is basically the only BR I play these days. When I get bored with Apex, I hit up Assassin's Creed or Farming Sim or some other game from my library.
I'm actually a fan of the reworked World's Edge! I like the new POI's, and definitely like the new Overlook rotations. I've been complaining about that POI for several seasons, and am glad they did something with it. Also, I'm glad they left Thermal Station alone, because it has always been my favorite POI on that map, for some reason.
Of course, this is just my personal opinion, but all in all, I still enjoy playing for a couple hours every day.
