@EA_David“ Thinning out densely-packed smaller POIs to give more breathing room and reduce combat choke points” This says it all... more sniper points...Especially with Observation towers being a thing... Seems like every map is eventually leading towards a sniper’s paradise. “Don’t worry, well placed zipline leading to top”... yea, forgetting about the fact that zipping creates noise and so the sniper knows you’re coming...

The zip line on the observation tower that takes you straight up to a waiting Caustic gas or Watson fence...

@apostolateofDOOM Respawn - We built our game to be fast paced and action heavy, removing the clunk of other BRs like Fortnite or PubG so that players can stay in the action, even if they get killed!Also Respawn - We're doing everything we can to try and make sniper rifles more popular despite CQC being inherently better! We're also rewarding "map exploration" and "taking the scenic route" instead of fighting because...crafting! But don't worry, we'll put that we've been listening to the community allllll the way at the bottom of the post to make sure you snowflakes feel like we actually give a crap. I better see some actual improvements to the game in the upcoming patch notes if they really are "listening to the community" as they say they are. Edit: The map changes look nice don't get me wrong, but it would've been nice to see them take what made KC unique (lack of verticality, smallest map, intense action, clustered PoIs) and amp it up. New rotations and less chokepoints are nice, and the new area looks nice. But all these revisions just keep taking away what made KC unique in comparison to the other two maps IMO.

That was a really creative gameplay video, I loved it! Also, the Lifeline and Bangalore skins look dope!

@pastaclown They introduced more touristic sight-seeing spot as the post even says: "One of the drawbacks to Slum Lakes was the difficulty in rotating to and from the PoI. In changing up the area, we also looked at making it easier to access Runoff and Airbase. When part of the mountainside was brought down during Maggie’s act of sabotage, a new pathway was revealed and ancient Leviathan bones were uncovered.This new pathway offers a scenic rotation and an easy drop into Runoff, which in turn should make the Northwestern part of the map a more desirable drop location."More scenic stuff :D. Yes, going from Slum Lakes to another point was rive with ambush points and danger, without much to show for it... Ohh but now, you can at least look at some fossilized bones while getting shot!We know they're not listening intently or else they wouldn't destroy on of the most CQC places in the map... and now the second one...Of course I'll have to see the map and luckily it's just a part of the map, so I'll still like KC as a whole even if I might not like this spot now since they ruined Slum Lakes for me now (not likely). It just feels like what they did to WE. Bring uplifting points onto the map, whereas with WE it came at places that needed them, here, not so much.I think it would've made more sense to let the ship crash into swamp and have better rotation towards Labs, and the other 2 POIs

@Popa2caps I get what you’re saying but coming up with new stuff and to implement those take time and resources as well.

It’s easier letting a designer make map alterations than letting coders have to deal with new codes for making things like pathfinder nerding out work.

Also they have to tie in with the overall lore which is broad atm. Start as broad as possible and scope inwards to make for compelling storytelling.

@EA_Davidimo EA's explanation about removing the Farm is "outrageous" 😂 That was really interesting spot and they made it boring. Also missing skull town still 😔
Besides that I like all the other changes, they sound interesting.

I guess it makes sense Respawn updates in this way. The majority buying skins are really the ones keeping the game alive anyways. I get it's a business. You update for the people who use your product at the end of the day for what they want.

I'm in the same line of work to be honest, so I get what they're doing. To be honest if I had a way with Apex, I could very well ruin the title all together. I remember writing a post on Battlefield forums for it to be more hardcore back in the day with no spotting, no health regen, tanks not able to turn fast, and look what that did, Battlefield 5 disaster.

I still would remove aim assist and fat gas guy from Apex Legends, no joke. I'm a controller user and still want it disabled.
