@Renegade_Prime86 the real reason it feels like people are cheating has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not they're using macros. It's the random recoil that's inherent to a lot of automatic weapons. Take this video for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqBXWHNlcnA
Dude uses R301, which used to be the king of weapons back in S1. You could reliably beam targets at the 20-50 meter mark for 100-200 damage depending on your own recoil control. If you watch the video though, at the same distances (20-50m) the guy will hit for anywhere from 40-120, rarely spraying people down for over 120 damage. It's not his fault either, it's random recoil pulling your weapon differently each time you fire, despite YOU pulling the same direction every time. It's especially noticeable when you're running 2x or 3x sights, as even though it's quoted as, "minor amount of randomness within their overall fire patterns" every minute change makes a big impact on where your shots land at a distance. So sometimes you will hit those nasty sprays for 120+ damage, and other times you'll shoot at a target 15 meters away who's standing still and you'll only hit 5 rounds.
Sometimes it is recoil control, sometimes it's not. Maybe you need more practice with the weapon to hit more consistently, and maybe it wasn't your fault in the first place that you only hit 7 of a 28 round mag. Sometimes people are cheating, and sometimes it really is just recoil control. That's why the meta continuously shifts towards weapons with minor / no random recoil. After the R301 nerf last year, the meta cemented R99 / Wingman because R99 functions at a range where its random recoil is pretty much negligible, and Wingman has no random recoil. Now the Volt has replaced the R99, and it's really no surprise that it's meta.
