So, I have been permabanned due to a bit of heated argument with another player which is normal in any game. Tell me which game has never had a heated argument before? The funny thing is. I got PERM BANNED for the whole account over 1 game and 1 in-match game.For crying out loud, it wasn't even like I hacked or exploited the game in any way for me to deserve a permaban on my account. It was just a bit of heated spur of the moment with another player. EA is the company that creates games that causes competitiveness and heated arguments. If I am getting permabanned for Apex Legends, you guys must be busy banning people left, right and centre in FIFA. It is ridiculous and no one on your advisor team is doing anything about it. What is the point of even going against my ban or anyone bans when 99% it is never revoked (check your forums) No one is empathetic, in fact, any members of your "advisor" team even play your games? Because if they do, they would be more empathetic and understand these heated arguments happen. But nope, they see one red flag word and then presses that magic button. Even the Live chat guys are more empathetic and understanding than the actual "advisor" team.This is ridiculous EA. Nice way to get people to play your games again.

@err0r710 Sorry, but no, it's not normal to unleash who knows what kind of language on other people online or offline. If you can't learn to control yourself, you may need to get some help. Don't blame others for what comes out of your own mouth. The fact it's "just a game" actually makes it worse, not better.

Depends, hate speech is a big no-no in most places today. If it were that then it would have been locked down hard. Or death threats etc.But I agree, if it was the first time and if it was only a profanity or 10 then yes a temp ban should be applied. But I assume they don't just perm ban for a little profanity, a perm ban would be for much worse than that.I'd like to believe the OP but I don't know him from any other person on here. We only have one side of the story. If it were that innocent then why not appeal?

@Ragarath EA/Respawn can also disable the chat function for people who are repeated offenders of profanity. Problem solved, customer kept. Pings are more than sufficient to communicate with your team. And people who ignore pings are even more likely to ignore the chat.The amount of times people told me to kill myself, I should just stop existing or that my mother/father should die of cancer in Apex Legends is astonishing, yet I look over it and leap over my shadow because I'm aware that what they say literally should have no impact on my mood.Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Unless you throw a dictionary into my face.

Depends on the language you were using I guess. Was this over voice or in-game chat. Plenty of people have their accouns unbanned. Most don't come back to say they are unbanned is all.

Alright, you can also consider that as a punishment. Permanently banning someone for calling someone something - at least from what I take here - is being equalized with hacking and cheating.

The amount of times I see people coming into the forums - enraged - that they were banned from the game is ridiculous. Before you know it, people will come into the forums with a ban appeal because they played differently as someone wished.

@Peri_Longbow_plz I agree that disabling chat/voice for the person would be a good solution.

But perhaps EA believes this type of aggressive person would simply lash out in other ways, such as sabotaging the team or harassing teammates somehow. Of course, they could then be reported for sabotaging.

No, I totally understand my mistake (as we all do after the ban).. it is just the fact that I am banned for all of EA games? I agree I retaliated in the heat of a moment as I am not a person to stand being blasted at etc.. But come on, the whole EA account over just the 1 game?
Jesus! imagine if this happened over a STEAM game and being banned for the whole STEAM library. It funny now because I try to appeal my ban but EA has blocked any of my appeals with an automated message. So, I can't even reach out to them.
I've never been so enthusiastic about playing a game but this is ridiculous, to the point I'm in this forum venting my anger (sorry guys) and displeased with the appeal of my ban as I can't explain the situation to EA.
