Watched one video about it and was reading an article about it, so now he got buffed, and people are enjoying it (I am not talking about the random randos who stim every second) that the boy got a buff and became a decent legend now they are nerfing him?Fell sorry for you Octane mains, and I am so glad I left this game.They are not addressing the issues, they just talk about it like "we know, we are looking into it" and nothing ever happens, because they are just to busy makeking overpriced cosmetics and nerfing and buffing and buffing and nerfing legends 🤡 🤡 🤡🤡I am starting to believe that they are doing this on purpose to kill their own game

@1234smile4321 I understand Wattson but Bangalore really? Bangalore has one of the best escape mechanics in the game and is a solid legend without being too oppressive. She is far from a joke legend, you're probably thinking of Rampart and Fuse.I'm not surprised that there are mobility based legends in this game after all this game was marketed as a hero shooter BR.

@MandatoryIDtag Iirc the nerf is the increase damage coming from stim but the counterbalance is that you can spam it much sooner. I think it's meant to lower Octane's escape chances which in itself isn't a bad thing. I still think they need to just make it so that Octane can't use his stim if he's too low.

@1234smile4321 Yeah goodluck w keying into a bang smoke against competent players. So you think Bangalore is good for the game and yet you call her a "joke legend"? That's kinda contradicting don't you think?And really? Gibby takes a lot of skill? Gibby is as straightforward as it gets. You have a passive 15% damage reduction + you're not slowed by bullets meaning you can reposition much better than other legends. Pair that with a gun shield that pretty much adds 50 more health/shield that regenerates every 9 seconds giving you a really strong tank that can 1 v 1 any legend. It doesn't matter what legend you use, if you're an idiot you will die but the skill ceiling needed to "master" Gibby is a lot lower compared to other legends.I do agree Horizon and any other mobility legend needs to be toned down but I don't think they're ever going to do that as players love playing high mobility legends. Even the nerf going to Octane won't really affect his ability to be a strong pusher as it's highly unlikely an Octane would push you while low health.You guys need to stop acting like this game completely renders gunplay irrelevant cause it's not. Gunplay is just as important if not the most important but now requires a lot more skills cause of all the abilities added to the game.

Besides it's a really small nerf. All they're doing is increasing the health cost of Stim.

@Renegade_Prime86 It's better to have a buff-nerf-buff-nerf way of adjusting than go small buff- small-buff- small buff or small nerf - small nerf - small nerf. If something stays too much overpowered or underpowered, it will continue to be considered like that even when reaching the balanced values, which will also take a longer time to get to.

@Renegade_Prime86 From what I have read, it's not that much of a nerf. Increased health cost and reduced cooldown? You won't be able to spam as much. That's about it, I don't feel sorry for myself as an Octane main

@GH0STEDbyME Octane always had very high 1v1 encounter win rate. Maybe the recent buffs pushed him further on the top, so they are trying to reduce some mobility creep.

I will see how it affects him after the nerf.

Hot take: a 200m catapult and 40% permanent speed increase (yes it's functionally permanent, no the damage you take doesn't matter) is bad design in a game based around tight movement and tactics.
It turns it into Titanfall. Everyone is flying around on the stupid pad and the space chick has an instant, silent elevator that allows her to scale the highest heights in the game. There is a reason Titanfall is dead. It's fun, it's beloved by many. And it's spammy chaos. Spammy chaos doesn't make for a long lived game. Octane is the ultimate mindless W key legend. He drags the skill ceiling of the entire lobby down like an anchor.
This game was designed with a lack of mobility and a lack of spam in mind. Pathfinder was the only high mobility (wraith isn't mobility as much as she is aggression) hero in the game at launch. His mobility came at a huge drawback.
Then came Octane. Then Horizon. Now look at it. Isn't it exciting? That every team in ranked from plat to masters is either a revtane+blood team (immortal, high mobility, AND has wallhacks!) or a mix of Horizon/Octane/Wraith/Path. Mobility is a bad idea for this game without some serious drawbacks.
