Solo Mode aka No Fill Mode is coming in Season 8. Maybe.

@bosourd it just seems like they're re-inventing the wheel for no good reason instead of releasing a mode they've already developed that's been asked for since the game was released. 

In the tweet, Jason McCord also says they've been doing internal testing and it's been working. Which is probably just Respawn talk for, "Our dev team of Bronze 5 players say this is fine, and we're not obligated to really give a crap, so you get what you pay for."
