Solo survival guide.

How to win a game on your own.

So after winning several matches on my own and with many people complaining about there not being a solo mode in the game.
I felt like creating a short and easy guide on how to win a match on your own without your squad.

First off even though this game is specifically designed to play as a squad you can easily unhook from your squad jump and pick your own area to land on.
I suggest picking less crowded area's so you can easily grab some low to mid tier gear which is all you need.
I myself always try to get a wingman and a peacekeeper and keep it at that.

Now what do you do when you want to win the match on your own ( solo ).
Don't blindly run around charging enemies head on it won't work, that won't even work when you're playing with your squad, unless the enemy squad is seriously bad at the game.
Now since you're entirely on your own you might want to avoid as much confrontation as possible.
Lame and boring? well have I got bad news for you, battleroyale isn't about who gets most kills, it's about surviving until the very end as the last man standing, it doesn't matter how you get there 1 or 20 kills, you're still the winner both ways.
When I solo play I usually manage to get around 5 kills, is that a lot? no! but it I still won from 59 other people rendering me the best during that 1 particular match.

So what's the best way to approach?

Stealth, literally stealth.

I've ducked in to corners letting squads past by me just to last longer, I could try and kill them, they could overmaster me and kill me, I mean a head shot with a wingman is only 90 damage and you still need to deal with 10% shields and 100 health that's at least 1 more headshot and 1 body shot while getting shot at by 3 fully geared targets.
Let them past you, you'll get your chance of killing later.

So when should you actually start killing?

Well early game when there's barely any gear to go around in your particular drop-zone, those are always easy kills for the tanking.
But once the first round has begun, you should refrain yourself from trying to get kills and sit it out.
Just wait for the last 3-4 squads.

Once you've come that far without dying it's simply a matter of flanking your targets and a strategic mindset.
Wait for them to open fire on each other and then start picking them off up close from their flanks.
You think it's cheap? no is strategic and they're still in a major advantage for having the ability of spraying you down with 3 squad members or even 6 when the enemy squad decides to help them.

And that's basically it, make use of your surroundings, stick to the shadows and be the smarter player.

But if you really want my advice?

Stick to the original concept, it's what made Apex unique compared to other BR games, the legends provide an interesting concept of team dynamics and various ways of game play, and if you truly want to play solo, posting 1000's of topic on the community forum won't change that.
The game isn't designed for it, the legends system is a system specifically developed for team play.
And your overall squad game play will improve if you simply communicate more, pinging is addition but not a replacement to your squad communications.
Get yourself a mic and try to be less shy and take more social approach to the community while playing the game.

And in case you're demanding proof? view the picture down below, both my squad mates left before the game started and they have 0 damage, 0 survival time, 0 everything. I was alone and called champion and victor of the match.

  • Ironic isn't it?

Hundreds of posts about solo mode.
And here I am providing a solo guide.
    And there's 0 interest haha
  • I try to play solo and do hide and seek until the end, but my kid said: "Daddy, you're a chicken, how can you left your teammate behind, your playstyle is so boring, you take so much time (20 minutes), I want to play as well".
