It's a potential solution, not the only one.
To make things clear, I don't have a problem with 3rd partying and not even with spontaneus partnership that increases chances of survival. I also prefer games that combine more genres and styles and have unique approaches instead of reskins of old ideas or games that sacrifice their potential just to stay true to a single genre.
Many of you speak of Battle Royale, but probably only few know how this become a cultural phenomenon. It all started with a japanese movie, with exactly this term (BR) as a title, in which people are dropped on an island to basically kill each other, with only the winner being allowed to leave. Needless to say that in this and probably all other movies that drew inspiration from it (like Hunger Games) people teamed up to increase chances of survival. From this perspective, the spontaneous teaming up that annoys so many of you stays is actually a true battle royale trait.

@DoYaSeeMeI’ve seen the movie but your insinuation is incorrect. The way you worded it out makes it sound like the movie was the match that lit the propellant ablaze when it fact the movie was nothing more than the oxygen.
The movie sparked the idea of having a multitude of ppl fight each other to the death but it was really some devs who created the gaming formula that got reiterated and worked upon until we have what we have today.
But that aside, in the movie it wasn’t said that you could not gang up or work together, whereas here it’s implicitly stated with the ‘solo’. So that’s the main difference. And btw the movie was decent, the sequel sucked... saw it last year or year before that... only really liked the teacher shooting that guy in front of everyone xD- 7 years ago
@Koochi-Q Apex doesn't state anywhere that it is forbidden to team up in solo (like pubg does in its rules of conduct). This way, it leaves the solo thing to interpretation. you start as solo, there can be a sole winner, etc.. Also, I don't think there is a written general set of rules for the battle royale genre and it would be bad to not allow creators to think outside the box and come up with original interpretations.
Anyway, the idea that I suggest may sound really odd, hard to grasp. But the experience in Destiny 2 proved how smooth it can be to transition from a public area to an instance available only to you (and your teammates) and provided an interesting way to lock events in the public area, while Titanfall 2 demonstrated how amazing it can be to jump between different instances of the same map.

@DoYaSeeMeApex now have a "Cooperating with enemy" report button, what's your thoughts on this? Respawn are not a bunch of kids making a game, they know that teamming-up in solo is wrong.
If you still believe that this is not the problem, why don't you just have it your way? play this game like you're in one of those movies. It just a matter of time for people who have the same mindset like you getting banned.
Many of us obviously think that this is a problem, and you keep defending your belief on team-up. You don't solve any problem, your ideas are just gonna make this game even harder to balance.
So, why don't you just leave us alone because it's clear that we are not on the same team and let Respawn do their job.
