I once spent $10 on this game, to reward Respawn for the first Winter Express LTM. I don't remember or care what they gave me in exchange for my ten bucks. That wasn't why I gave them the money.
So what I don't understand, and have never understood (so please help me out here if you can) is why anyone would spend money on a free-to-play game for any reason other than to support the developer. What are you getting for your money? The right to complain that your rng "rewards" were not the rewards you wanted? That your "digital trinkets" were not worth what you spent? How could they ever be? They're worthless on the face of it. They make your character or your guns, who no one but you can see, look different. You can't eat them. You can't trade them. You can't sell them. Their value after purchase is ZERO. Why do people do this? I don't understand it.
