Still no significant battle pass changes

It’s been half a week since the launch of season 7 and still no real effort had been made to make this seasons battle pass more accessible.

I’ve been committing my usual time investment into this game, playing the same amount of daily hours as I am able to do similar to past seasons. Usually by this point I’d be level 7 or so. I just hit level 2 this morning. 

it’s an absolute joke that this change was able to make it to the live servers. It’s predatory and greedy to require your players to grind 24/7 or else have to pay to complete what I’ve been able to do for so many seasons prior.

I work 10hr days, am only able to play a couple hours an evening. This used to be plenty of time to do my dailies and earn a decent amount of XP toward my weekly challenges. Now in the same time I’m lucky to complete those daily challenges at all because they are much more time consuming than previous seasons and the XP grind per level is frankly disgustingly greedy. So I’m stuck earning only 3-4 stars per session because of how this system works. That’s 2 battle pass levels a week!!!!!! I used to finish the week ~BP level 10 playing the same amount.

    snipdown, TSM pro player , litterally  playing around the clock since launched , level up to Predator and still level  10   (11/09/20) !

    No one, not a single soul complained about 'not having the stuff to do after completing BP'. I am here to play, not to focus my gameplay on doing challenges. No wonder sitting at 1.6k downvotes on Reddit.


    Well, that's not entirely true. I, myself, have stated that I felt there wasn't much reason to play after completing the BP and Quest.

    However, this S7 garbage is not the "solution" I had in mind. I talked about how maybe they could have/rotate LTMs more often to keep it fun and fresh. Or, increase the level cap so current level 500 players have a reason to level up and play. Or, they could even put in an "overleveling" system into the BP, so if you finish it earlier and keep leveling it up, you get crafting materials or packs or something.

    *Any* of these would have been better options than what they did for S7. You don't take an already grindy pass, make it grindier and just be like "hey, we gave people more reason to play. Great job. Go us!"

    It's like, no. You forced players to play your game for twice as long to even break even to where they normally would be. That's not a way to cause player "engagement". That's a way to cause player *frustration* and make them not want to play your game or buy things within it to support it.

  • @Gabrielmojo26It again doesn’t address the issue we are bringing up 🤦🏻‍♂️ Without challenges it’s a grind. They seem to be doing every change but changing the XP grind

    their proposed changes do nothing for those of us who don’t want to do the challenges. And on top of that as a matter of fact will probably * off a lot of more people who found the new more challenging weeklies and dailies a welcome change as it gave them more to work towards

    so again, the devs ignore the community requests to make the Xp grind less and actually are ruining it for those players who liked the new challenges. So... lose lose again. The major problem with the challenges was the star value attributed to them. Where they didn’t offer enough stars for how much effort they required. Now all they’re doing is just changing the challenges to match their star value rather than the stars to match the challenge difficulty. It literally seems like they want to do everything possible to not make it faster to level up
