Stop nerfing BP progression

So, now BP weekly challenges are divided between two modes. It's completely unacceptable for someone who only plays Arenas or BR.

There areD 63 stars in total per week.

BR mode challenges- 36 Stars

Arena mode - 17 stars

Common - 10 stars

So if you only play Arena, you only get 17+10=27 stars which are 2.7 BP levels. That's less than half the stars which you would usually get. I used to do 12/week, but now it's 9/week which increases the total weeks to complete from 9(12x9=108 LVL) weeks to 12(9x12=108 LVL) weeks, with me playing the same no of hours in the whole season(about 210 hrs). A season lasts 12 weeks approx.

The progression has been cut by 25 %, which is a whopping 27 BP lvls deficit in 9 weeks.

(Decreased by approx 3 LVL/week so, 3/12 x 100=25 %

12= usual amount of earned BP lvls)

Solution:

1. Challenges should be designed to be done in both modes, and compensate us for the previous weeks.

2. Hold an Arena flash event indefinitely as it gives you 32 stars/week in total which magically happens to be almost the same amount of stars you lose to the current weekly challenges design. One week or even 5 weeks of Arena flash will not fix the problem.

I agree with you completely, thanks for posting this.  It feels very unfair and I'm unsure that I will do what is necessary to complete this BP.

  • @ Apparently these reddit 'casuals' like they call themselves, are already at lvl 30 by playing Apex 'casually' after work for 1-2 hours. So they have grinded every single weekly challenge in both Arena and BR for both weeks, done every daily challenges, completed Flashpoint event so that leaves them at 27 BP. And yeah took a few days off too.

Ofc 'JuSt play both modes' is their reply, because their only goal is to 'complete the BP' and not actually enjoy the game. Nothing wrong with that, not everyone has enough time. But now I know the actual definition of casuals, I thought I was one lol.

Let's change the BR challenges so they can only be done in ranked, and see them complain?

@BaldWraithSimp  I know you do lol, but a lot of people don't and others will lose interest over time, my reply was meant as more of a long term goal for them.

@MandatoryIDtag They added 17 extra stars for Arenas, so the no of BR challenges is still the same as last season.

And I was right, mods are only here to lock threads. Might as well lock this thread since it won't lead to any actual solution!

My last straw is ask questions in Reddit AMA and get downvoted by Reddit neckbeards? Lol

@BaldWraithSimpi did read it but the whole point of giving you arena and br weeklies is to let you play both modes..

i you realy want all BP stars from your weekly challenges you got to do em all.

I'm totaly fine with the system as is.. it brings a good variaty in the game for me.

".. it brings a good variaty in the game for me.".  It's not just you though is it?  I don't care for arenas and stick to BR.  So, basically I'm punished for that.  I'm not ok with that.

I also don't bother with ranked.  Is it unreasonable that it should be possible to get the BP levels without playing all the different modes?  I don't think so.  It should be more of a time/success factor (which it previously was) which is fine and fair to everyone.  Have the same challenges, just leave the mode out of it.  Sorted.

@RockDokRock There is somewhat of a time factor. It just takes longer. You can gain stars through XP which means playing long drawn out games & winning plus getting some kills. But obviously every game won't be like that. It would also take longer than completing some of the challenges.
