@unferthington Shroud is on the money, we need a loot increase in ranked. Leave the loot as is in casual lobbies, but they need to decrease randomness in ranked.
So if they increase the loot in ranked, the game would basically come down to who's skills are better. Which makes sense in the higher ranks. But then most people would expect to be looting alternators with hop ups(op imo) and lazering each other. Which I think doesn't take much skill at all.

- @jumanjaydazed Hop ups are rare to find, should stay that way, they already nerfed the Alternator with a hop up. The gun balance is good in Apex, you can get outplayed with the majority of weapons. The problem is the scarcity of weapons, you can open multiple crates after a hot drop, get nothing but shields, attachments etc, another issue is the rarity of weapons. You're a lot more likely to find a Mozambique or P2020 etc after a hot drop, that will result in death if you don't have the hop up on them guns.
