@DarthValtrexThat's just Murphy's law for ya. When I was looking for a charged rifle, I ran over 3+ scouts in every game before i got one. When I wanted to try the new longbow, I found 2 charged rifles...
Although so far my impression that G7 is the most common, charged rifle and longbow rare and curiously longbow even seems rarer than the charged (but really not enough games played (~30) to tell for sure). Why I find it weird is that the charged rifle is clearly the #1 long range weapon now. Although, I've never seen 3 in a single game so far, so arming a full team with them is difficult - so it's definitely rare enough.
From automatic weapons, flatline seems to be the most common. And it's also probably the best midrange weapon atm, too, after the 301 damage nerf.
- 6 years ago@Biochemikas The Hemlock got a weird buff/nerf as well.
I haven't use it in season 3 yet but it was probably my favourite gun post patch so I'm interested to see what it's like now.
Has anyone used it yet ? I played about 20 games last night but either didn't find a Hemlock or was too busy trying out other weapons lol. - DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@Biochemikas I've only seen 2 long bows so far in the game, they do seem to be rarer. I think we'll be able to find them no issue once we learn the map. The old map was sort of like that certain areas tended to have certain guns/loot more frequently.
I have seen a few G7's but I did not have the hop up. I did get to play with the Eva 8 hop up, I think it has potential. Need to do a bit more with it. - 6 years ago
@xx_Dante2k_xxI've seen a lot of them, but I've also found more flatlines and I just can't take a hemlok over flatline XD (it's probably the best AR atm). The yellow hopup on flatline felt slow though. Didn't try using it on enemies though, since I had a charged rifle in that game.

@DarthValtrexI tried the hopup on G7 once. Couldn't down a moving bangalore at 50 meters with a full mag. Immediately took it off and wiped that squad XD.
It either needs some adjustment to aiming or it's simply just a terrible hopup for G7. It also felt like slower overall fire rate than just single fire. So it would only make sense if your goal is just to hit the 2 shots. Maybe I'm just too used to spamming single fire, I never use burst hemlok either.
I had a golden eva8 once and it did feel a lot better on that gun. Although weirdly it sometimes fired only 1 shot per click, when i was spamming it. - DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@Biochemikas Yellow hop up on the Flatline is supposed be a more mid-ranged weapon and in single shot. Try putting a 2-4x scope on it and using it at mid range. I have not had much of an opportunity to do it yet though, so I don't know if it's legit or not. If you're running that set up w/ a sniper rifle you'll want to keep distance between you and the enemy. If you go into closer engagements just pop the hop up off and carry it inventory. When I had it I kept the hop off unless I had a chance to use it at mid range.
Since this map has some really wide open areas I always carry some type of sniper rifle. I also keep 2 scopes on me.. The 4x-8x and a mid range of some type.Typically keep the mid range on the gun, with the 4x-8x in my inventory incase it's required. - DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@Biochemikas Eva 8 is going to take some getting used to for me. The double tap made me burn through the clip faster then I was used to... That ended up getting me killed because I thought I had a few more shots in the mag.. LOL
Flatline w/ hop up is going to be an adjustment as well. I loved it in the old map, so using it in a different role is going to be a major adjustment for me.
I did the same with the G7, I'd basically use it as a pistol and for mid range. Spam fire it.. When I would start to get sloppy with my aim on full auto weapons I'd pick up a G7 and bring that aim back to where it needed to be.
I have a clip of me knocking someone at 215 meters at skull town with a 3x sight. on the old map hahaha - 6 years agoI’m late to the party so lemme say, Happy Birthday All! New map, new sets of crybabies coming out with the waterworks, still can’t believe they’re a year older and start crying and pouting! Hurray!
Lemme tell you a true story. I once got held up in a cage for so long that I’d grown to like it. Didn’t see sunlight for days until I did and I didn’t like it, while at first I really liked sun. That cave was my room, and the sun was... well the actual sun.
It seems like that’s happzening now. People complaining about no new map, need for a new map or drastic improvement for King’s Canyon. It has changed and people were like ‘YESS FINALLY!’ played it for 1 hour it seems and were like ‘SNIPERS! SNIPERS! GD SNIPERS!!!’
Well I’m here to tell you all, yes it’s definitely more open landscaped. Abundantly more sniper battles per match it seems BUT if you can’t use your wit to adapt (that word has been uttered alot lately) if you can’t snipe or don’t have a sniper, you should
A. focus on improving your skills/abilities
B. stop playing this game or BR in general
C. continue to waste your time and energy crying to a bunch of internet persona’s that don’t care about you or your post most likely.
I hadn’t played apex for 2 weeks, played wednesday, tired from working but wanted to see how the new map is, especially after all the posts/threads I’d seen. First match: horrid for my doing, second match, relatively fine, third match, was back to my old self. In all those matches I saw sniper fire and was attacked by it, but without knowing the lay of the land, I outmanoeuvred and outplayed my enemies till I got that win. If you’re wondering; 8 kills and just shy over 1.4K dmg. My teammates? You mean those drag-me-downs? 56:0 and 160:1 dmg/kill. And this continued.
I don’t like change. I was perfectly content with King’s Canyon, but hey, you gotta learn to go with the flow... if it’s forced or educated going along that is. Cause I’ve seen so many speak of ‘bring king canyon back/why won’t it ever return/why no circulation of the 2 maps’ when the patch note clearly state that they took out King’s Canyon out of circulation to test some things and that they will look on how to put it back. Yet some or most of you likely heard 1 thing from 1 person. Took it as fact and spread misguided intel which other TLDR no-brainers saw and continued to spread.
A good lesson for you people is life. See what happends when life doesn’t give you healthy lemons but rotten ones. Are you gonna cry about it, look at them or form a plan and make a new batch!
