SUGGESTION: Increase reticle color range from 0-255 to 0-500

they did have the option to use them via launch parameters.

The Respawn please remove also color adjustments for vision impaired players or just remove ALL colors and make the game black and white only.

The "funny stuff" ones are, as I said in the OP, inverted values and also riddiculously high numbers.

With a range from 0-500 all you get is stronger colors compared to 255. They "glow" stronger. That is literally all

the reason its 0-255 and not 0-500 is because the R, G and B value is based on 8 bit digits, and unsigned they go from 0-255 ref 256 values, 500 is not withint a bit range you need to go to 512 but it makes no sense since the gfx card dont support the color. 255, 255, 255 coresponds to completely white in RGB language ... just saying. If you try run higher values then 255 in best case you would get a strange color in worst case an overflow of some sort.

You don't know that it doesn't cause bugs, I know from program experience that some RGB values higher than 255 can really mess up some scrips.

So that's why I think they removed this. At least sounds most logical for me

@fartnitepalyerConsole players did not have the option. Only PC players. If they were not a clear advantage why is it a big deal they were removed?

Personally I'd like the option for all but my guess is other bad stuff was happening that didn't allow it.

As I already said 5 times, going for 512 instead of 255 does nothing except add more brightness to the reticle, it makes it stand out more. Thats all there is to it.

maybe don't talk in forums if your opinion is based entirely on speculation.

ok who cares, not everything has to be about consoles. controller players on PC still had access to this feature and noone EVER complained about this.

in exchange PC players dont have access to 60% aim assist and you dont seem to be complaining about that???

I have nothing left to say to you if you think a slightly more glowing reticle or one with wierd inverted colors is a "cLeAr aDvAnTaGe" that needs to be removed (It's not)

However I am not suggesting to bring back insane glowy reticles or wierd inverted black ones.

All I am suggesting is a little more freedom in user settings and you come in here and speculate or bring up "muh consoles".

No. These values are used in different formulas used to combine colors. Going outside the normal bounds for those values can result in errors. If the rendering of a frame has errors, the game can crash or get some weird bugs, like invisible enemies, skins, etc.. The vast majority of people will never make the connection that an out of bounds color value caused those issues and will probably lash at servers or accuse enemies of cheating.

How can this be used as an exploit? Easy. If altering certain values results in a convenient fail, like certain environment textures not being rendered( e.g. grass, trees, etc.), then that can create a significant advantage. It's better to prevent this from happening, even if there seem to be no issues at this point.
