@Alphabets Uh why would you sit inside Caustic gas lol. Either the Caustic is dead so there is no more gas or you are busy shooting him.If a fight takes 2 sec, Caustic has following advantages- 10 hp, enemy is slowed. I am sure that is enough to kill someone. I do agree that gas won't be that effective at scaring away someone like it is currently.But hey I don't care, let them nerf the Stinky boi all they want.

@ILostT0Loba The point he's trying to make is that enemies can use enemy Caustic's trap as hiding spots. Which completely defeats the purpose of him being an area control legend.

@Alphabets Yeah, that's basically end game ranked stuff where a rat could potentially be sitting inside a tiny corner of your gas and keep healing. And that's where his 6-13 dmg increases worked cuz the more you sit inside gas, more dmg you take to the point where even medkits won't help you. But I feel we are talking about a very rare scenario.But you must remember that Respawn goes all the way out if they want to nerf something. Remember Path nerf from 15 sec to 35 sec, which they did fix eventually after community feedback. I guess that's how Caustic mains will have to deal with it too.

Oh crap... You're right! God, now enemies can survive inside of my gas and can keep healing up. Geez, what am I supposed to do now other than being forced to watch the green clump in the corner that keeps healing up? If only there was a way to actively engage people in a game about guns which sit inside my gas. True horror...

@Peri_Longbow_plz The thing you don’t consider is that everyone has a gun in this game + a bloody ability, now caustic only has a gun, can’t lift, grapple, phase, heal, dome, etc... it’s not PUBG you know

@Alphabets Calculation is incomplete. You have to factor in reaction time, which on average is 200ms, and also lag (another 30-50ms). If you have only 25 health, popping a syringe in the gas is death, unless you start healing right before the first gas tick.

Anyway, it makes no sense to camp inside gas. Good Caustic users take advantage of enhanced vision and the fact that the enemy gets slowed, very few rely on the gas damage alone. You're going to get fried if you sit in my gas, that's for sure.

I'm tired of these popular streamers and pros complaining about everything forcing respawn to make these unnecessary changes. Back in S7 they were even talking about giving Caustic a buff but now he is a shell of his former self. At least give him back the 20s tactical CD and can place more than 6 traps. How ironic that Caustic got nerfed to ground on his own event. lol.

@Alphabets Wasn't his ult gas stronger? I know it's getting nerfed but his ult gas was stronger than his traps.

@Lord_Scorpion34 All were/are the same. There is no damage defence between Nox grenade and Nox traps, it’s just the duration of their effect, which Nox grenade (ultimate) lasts longer than traps, so deals damage for a few seconds longer (more ticks)
