Basically the Bow makes no noise, so the hit is much harder to spot where it is being shot from.EDIT: It also has no reload.EDIT 2: also, it seems to be hit-scan when fully charged so no arrow drop. I think there is arrow drop if not fully charged.EDIT 3: Lordloshbang makes a good point, IMO, about arrow thickness.

It needs to be removed! This doesnt fit in the game at all…

When Arrow fly faster than a bullet, hurt more than bullet, doesn't make sound, doesn't have light path, it total BS !Somebody in Respawn doesn't understand physics.

@Peri_Longbow_plzSorry my friend this is not Hollywood...I didn’t shoot a compound bow indeed but it’s not necessary, but I served 12 years at the armed forces and shot with several different guns...I shot with a longbow atleast and even if a compound bow had 3x the power of a longbow it’s still nothing compared to the forces that get unleashed when you Shoot with something like an mg3 .If you compare a simple assault rifle like g36 and A compound bow and you still don’t see significant differences in things like g36 having a 870yards effective combat distance compared to 30-60yards effective range of a compound bowWe don’t even talk about bulletspeed/arrowspeed and Bullet/arrowdrop...Firerate, maximum range and so on Simple question, if conpoundbows are as lethal as you think they are how come special units of armed forces are not using them ?i mean the value of it beeing completely silent should be worth it right ?but guess what besides that they are inferior in every single aspect compared to a modern firearm... every t4 body armor with ceramic plates will stop the arrowAnd you dare to compare it to a modern sniper rifle wich is on a completely different lvl than even modern normal longweapons when it comes to stoppingpower

What a surprise that the bow turns out to be dumb. So let's all complain some more about the Spitfire.

@Vdstrk The little to no sound is what it should be, but it definitely needs more arrow drop and less speed. You know like an actual Bow not a gun.

I'm not really talking about the skill involved. Perhaps it takes some skill --or more likely it does, not sure.
I only think about the fact that is silent, and that it has no reload. If you have 300 arrows, for example, you can just shoot them one after the other, no need to restock the quiver, or whatever contains the arrows.

@Vdstrk So your point is that you don't want people to potentially have a more stealthy approach to a game that is already pushing you to be as offensive as possible? Is that what I have to gather from your posts?

The Bocek is powerful, yes. Most of that power comes from how fast you can fire with it with Deadeye's Tempo, which will likely see a nerf sooner or later. The silence on the other hand? Not so much.

You have damage feedback. If you get third-partied by a squad who already has full-on sight on you, chances are you're not gonna clutch this either way. If it's not the Bocek, it's the Spitfire. Sure, you can make the Bocek have noise. Wouldn't make sense but I promise you: It'd change nothing.

Also, you can drop the "You're so mature" act. Same goes for "Your grammar is bad", "You don't have the same forum rank" and "You haven't even reached Apex Predator rank yet" - Sentences like these only make you look very volatile.

EVERY weapon in the game has a reload penalty, EXCEPT the bow.

Forget about what I personally like or not. That is between me and myself, none of your business.

If, no change can balance the bow with respect to other guns, then was that a good addition to the game?

@Vdstrk I get the silent one, but like I said, for me not much of an issue for now. But the reload isn’t a persuasive comment. Yes no reload, lets say you have 300 arrows and no reload. With that Deadeye’s tempo you can fire faster... let’s say 2 arrows in 1 second (even tho from trailer and memory it was slower) that means 20 arrows in 10 seconds. 1 arrow does 30 dmg when not drawn to full retention. 5-7 shots to hunt someone down... 2.5 secs to down somebody if aim is good.

Well if you play against a normal player, in those 2.5 secs you’d likely be dead already if it was a straight 1v1 if they’d have a gun. No more use for those other 290+ arrows. Even if it would be a drawn out battle, that person can just switch to another gun while you are still on a precision weapon aiming and firing and he can spray again.

So having no reload is really not an issue unless you play against someone who’s aim is always on point. But I can kind of understand your issue, but it’s just not for me.

Not really trying to persuade anyone. I simply said that the bow is a rifle that makes no sound, and has no reload.
I do not really like it so far, maybe in the future i will appreciate it more.

@Vdstrk With Deadeye's Tempo, it fires roughly as fast as a longbow, with 6 more damage per shot. You can fire just a tiny bit faster with full pull if you time it correctly, but you run into the risk of releasing too early and break your 'combo'. Without Deadeye's Tempo, it fires slower than Longbow, so the DPS of both weapons is roughly the same. Given that you land all your shots, you'll yield same results with both weapons. If you don't land all your shots, you're screwed either way.

I'm currently more worried about the 30-30 repeater because shatter caps makes it deal pretty solid damage and makes it very easy to hit with it in general.

Tried it a few games. Besides being biased because I love bows in shooters and have been requesting this for Apex since the early days, I can say that it feels good, but it's not an easy weapon to use due to the precision & patience it needs and slow firing rate. Arrow trails are definitely visible, got hit by a few and was able to detect the shooter pretty quickly each time. Also, I was able to hear / distinguish it each time. Devs also added auto pickup for arrows if running over them while having a bow / arrows in inventory, which helps and might become a thing for all weapons / ammo in the form of auto fill inventory ammo slot when running over ammo packs.

@DoYaSeeMe nahhh I think that’s only for the bow due to it (now) being in a class of it’s own and not having ammo readily available.

But who knows... they might actually do that but it’d be more a hinder if lets say you’re in a building with that ammo but you want to pick up something but you run over ammo and your inventory is filled up xD
