Only people who cause rage quits think they should be enforced like this. If the leave game option is there, it’s for a very good reason. I shouldn’t be punished for it. It’s not like it’s easy to get to, you have to go out of your way to get it, unless you’re completely dead, and banning players who leave at that point is stupid. I’m here to play not watch tv.
I was playing a ranked match, my teammates were a duo, they pinged a drop spot, i went there, they did not. They dropped elsewhere and died, i managed to kill the team, get their banners and got them to a respawn beacon, as they were spawning in they said :you suck" and quit. These people are why all modes need a leaver penalty. Even a reduced penalty for normal modes would be acceptable.
"YoU'rE jUsT tOxIc" L O L the fact that I have to be basically benched for removing myself from a TERRIBLE random team when they don't even remotely try to grab my banner is whats toxic around here.. no hell in way am I going to wait until my teammates get killed / win just to play another round.. penalty is ridiculous..

@itsOshyn So much this. I don't see why I should have to sit there and wait for a total timeout when my team mates have moved away, landed somewhere on their own or clearly show no intention of getting my banner. There is no obligation to do so so why is there an obligation for me to sit there when it's clear nothing will happen? Yet *I'm* the one who gets penalised for "ruining the experience" for them. It's a joke.
#1 reason I don't bother with ranked. I see zero problem with quitting in this scenario.
Except when you get kicked from a game and it still hits you. You should only get it for quitting. Not for lagging out. It’s frustrating to be penalized for what’s out of your control. Since you can be kicked and receive this penalty even when you didn’t try to quit, you should be able to kill time in the firing range.
I still say if it's not ranked, should not be a leave penalty, regardless of mode.
Some people play casual, and some people are playing casual cause they never know when something might come up and they gotta go, or just can't hold a * anymore and gotta literally go.
Ranked, sure, that is messing with an arbitrary "Feel Good Number" for others. But Unranked is the free play joke mode anyway.
