The R-99 Problem

Bro it's a sub-machine gun. Why are people especially the pro's still using it instead of the R-301 for medium to [YES] even long range gun fights? Or would the better question be why are people allowed to? Its....a sub....machine gun. A light smg at that. It's a balancing problem.

It's recoil needs increased drastically. Let's say add 100%.
Either that or its damage drop off needs to be heavily increased by 60% at medium ranges and 80% at long ranges. Like the headshot damage at medium range should max at 10. Why? Because it's a light sub-machine gun, which is intended for close quarters combat. 

Like I'm not even mad at it. I don't constantly die to it. I myself am not constantly getting lasered by it. But I see fellow team mates and a lot of YouTubers in Platinum or Predator that immensely abuse it's R-301 like stats and/or characteristics. Lasering people with perfect aim from medium to long ranges ADS, and close to medium ranges with hip-fire. Lasering. And they always drop anything they have to pick one up, because it has essentially double the fire rate of the R-301, and almost the same damage as the R-301.

Hell do both. Increase its recoil spread, and increase the damage fall off rate. Problem solved. Goes back to being used as intended.

    I agree, I have been complaining about the 99 since season 2. It is ridiculous

    @GreenxxFire Ive been posting on the forums about taking the barrel slot off the 99 and giving it a default "grey barrel" effect.

    @i0n19 Barrel seems to do nothing for me. I tried my luck in firing range and I tried every barrel and it basically resulted in same shooting from me.

    I even said: how’s gold large recoil reduction when I’m noticing same pattern of shooting!

    @WingmannedbroAnd in the real world the recoil makes faster firing weapons difficult to control. You won’t learn the recoil and you won’t be hitting people at range with an uzi.  If you’ve ever shot an automatic weapon you would understand what I’m talking about. the same is said for higher caliber guns. You can go to ranges and pay to shoot automatic guns.

    There is a reason militaries use different guns.

    there is also reason law enforcement don’t carry hand cannons. Sure if you tag a person with a hand cannon you’ll win the fight. But the recoil is so strong you can’t miss your first shot. You’re better off with a lower caliber gun that will let you accurately unload multiple rounds quickly. I have friends who are law enforcement and have been in shootouts. I’d post details but I don’t feel like it’s appropriate.

    how ever this is a game.. i think if they made it to much like the real world players would complain. But as a game I fee like there should be balance to the guns. R-99 should be outperformed by the R-301 at range. R-301 should be outperformed by the R-99 in close combat and so on..
