@LordloshBang no it does not, she takes 5% more damage. Limbs included as part of her body, essentially make her hit box bigger than an average legend. So she takes 5% more damage but is now not much harder to hit than mirage... her limbs+body are bigger than mirages body shot hit box and about the size of Gibi. How is that fair?! Her abilities? Give me a break, the tactical is useful in some situations but it’s easy to track and follow. If a wraith uses it to run, you were winning the fight and should just follow.
This was an extremely lazy and poorly thought out attempt at nerfing wraith. If they wanted to level the playing field just increase the damage she takes .25-.5% and slowly increase it. But essentially making her hit box the size of an average legend, while she still takes 5% more damage is just plain stupid.
If her tactical is the issue shorten the duration of it so she can’t go as far.. portals are useful as well. But they are useless in the middle of a gun fight unless you’ve already thrown it down before the gun fight. They are also easy to mitigate with a thermite or two.
this is to the point now, where lower skilled Gibis can mow down a higher skill wraith simply because her hit body hit box is huge now. While even as wraith if you land nothing but body and head shots they’ll still win.
i try to play her from time to time. I have gotten melted by an R-301 before I can even unload a 99 clip into a gibi and most of the time it takes 2 clips to drop a gibi.
i won’t play her anymore, I’ve been playing Bangalore and bloodhound. Maybe it’s not that wraith is OP? Maybe it’s just that the people who pick her are simply better at the game and opt for her because they find her abilities to be more useful? I’ve been playing bloodhound a lot and posting above average stats as bloodhound.. does that mean we should nerf bloodhound now?! If other wraith mains make the same switch and push bloodhounds stats up should we nerf him? Will everyone be crying about him being OP?!
The portal is good for gaining a tactical advantage or escaping. A tactical advantage would be most useful towards the start of the fight. Escaping is okay for pretty much any part of the fight. Slap a portal that goes inside a building/behind cover, so that low health teammates can go through and heal.
You really shouldn't be trying to head on, 1v1 Gibby. That's one of his specialties. I think there is a thread on here about strategies against a gibby, and if there isn't, you can make one and people will be happy to contribute.
I don't think wraith is op, but she is a pretty strong character.
I doubt that people who pick her are simply better. I'm grinding ranked rn, (as I took a break from apex after the split), and I'm getting a lot of wraiths on my teams in Silver. I don't think people in Silver are usually good. (Most of my other teammates aren't great.)
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@Sir_Named I understand what you’re saying, but if all 95k picals of wraiths hit box at body/head shots and only 95-100k pixals of Gibi are body/head shots.. it’s essentially the same difference with..
- 6 years ago@DarthValtrex But that would still leave Gibby with 100,000 pixels worth of limb hitbox. Even if you miss his body/head, there is still a good chance that you’ll hit his limbs and still get most of the damage.
