I actually haven't had much trouble with the gun since it came back. I am amazed how many people challenge you when you have an lmg tho. I picked up a spitfire the other day and multiple people kept peaking at me trying to snipe.
Soon to become, "Apex Legends, I remember that game," game.
Real life is not the best example, but it does not refute the point. In real life, you would always take an LMG because in real life it is not meant to be 'balanced' against other guns. I laught all the time at video games that make LMG damage less because with rapid fire and deep magazines the gun would be 'too broke'. Exactly. Some guns in real life are just better at most things. Particularly if the real life 'nerfs' on an LMG, like cost and weight to carry it, just aren't in your video game (nor should they be).
But yes, this does lead to the long line of stupid things Apex and other games do, and why in the end, games with guns become slappy fight games, instead of actual challenges. People telling me somehow a gun should never ever one shot you, but take 30 bullets to kill you...is how inane games have become.
I've been looking for video games and you know, the aesthetic of Apex had appealed to me. Since it plays more like a cartoon now, and I don't mean the cool kind, I mean like Captain Underpants kind, I just figured to look into other dumb looking but maybe play better games. Lucky for Apex, I still cringe when I see something like Smite, with 'Transformers' (seriously, there is already a game with dumb crossovers and, sorry, it's Fortnite). And sometimes things like WarFrame definitely have an aesthetic...but are unappealing in that aesthetic (and come with their own host of problems), but I might just give them a go because bad as they are, the way Apex is playing is that bad.
