TTK

The TTK or Time To Kill for the n00bs out there is still WAY too * high. Really frustrating getting 400-600 dmg in a game with no kills. Just like playing firestorm where you run into a team with 1200 hps. Why is it so high? My favorite games are always low TTK. Should not take multiple clips to kill anyone. Very damn frustrating

  • I have to agree.  It is bad enough loot determines a lot of outcomes to begin with.  TTK being so high really does take certain strategic aspects out of the game or at least diminishes the advantage of them like ambushing and good positioning.  I guess it becomes a resource thing.  If one squad has more shield cells and healing available they should be able to overcome the one with less of those things.

One thing is for sure with high TTK is it makes it much easier to tell when someone is using a bot though.  I mean if your not getting focused by multiple targets most 1v1s you get in take while with higher end shields.

Are you guys serious or trolling? Cause the TTK is not an issue. You can laser people in about 2 seconds TOPS if you can aim of course. Even with purple armor. I assume if the TTK is super high for you guys that you guys are used to like pubg and fortnite which is understandable but if the TTK was any faster the game wouldn't be what it is. I mean I already laser people down within 1-2 seconds TOPS if I hit my shots I can't imagine dying in 1/4th of a second. That's just insta-kill basically. A half clip of a 301 is already enough to take down decent amount of people even with purple if you aim at the head.

*Also I mean 301 with blue mag+ and by decent amount of people I mean just players in general not like taking a squad at once. Although I've downed two people with one clip a LOT of times so that's also do-able

A high TTK is not for noobs, it's the opposite actually.

A low TTK is for people who can't aim.

A high TTK takes a lot more skill, as you need to keep your aim while duck, dive and dodge etc.

@Jimmahwd i think you missed his point, he clearly meant that he is the noob and the TTK is too high for him. xD
  • I think TTK is good in Apex, if you can aim you can laser people in seconds. If you can't aim, practice.

TTK is fine. Any lower and you'd have campers picking people off from hiding spots.

If you are playing as a team, focus firing will drop enemies super quick. This is not COD. You'll need to practice and work on your aim and target tracking.

Longer TTK means the better aimers are rewarded. No as much spray and pray, which is good imo.

  • Have to agree with hose that say it's fine. Hit all your shots (or a decent amount) or all focus fire on one enemy and people drop fast enough.

If TTK was any quicker why bother having shields and heals? The only time they'd be useful then was if someone was just taking a pop at you from range, then you'd just hide and heal. Other than that you'd be dead majority of the time with a backpack full of healing just wasting slots.

Not forgetting it would be constant knockdowns and constant revives, they're bad enough as they are with useless team mates.

  • @44xCaliberx44 There's lots of different games with different ttks. If you don't like the ttk in this one, go play one you do like.

Games can't cater to everyone. Short ttk people moan it's too quick. Long ttk people moan about that too.

You've just got to go and find a game that suits you if this one doesn't.
