Additionally, I’m confident that Respawn has taken measures to stop high ELO accounts from entering lower lobbies in Control.
I spent about 2 hours swinging directly off the map in control with no kills or damage— so I amassed a huge amount of deaths each game, for many many games in a row. This had absolutely no impact on my lobbies. I continued to exclusively get Masters and Preds as teammates and opponents.
Heray for experiments! Lol.

That might be a suicide only calculation, but conversely means you can spend 2hrs with a 0 kd and get the same lobbies 🙂

It’s entirely true that they detect suicides. So I will now just run directly into the enemies without shooting for a few hours— so we can see if that indeed changes my lobbies.

Another huge problem, just got stuck under C on Hammond. Was literally stuck inside the wood foundation of the platform. I could see everyone coming but shot the invisible foundation. It seemed to highly confuse the enemy that they could hear me shoot, move, and quip but couldn't see me. Two of them spent a whole minute looking for me.

@meece
Well, I spent the day running directly into the enemy, shooting at the floor, and sporting 0 damage, 0 kill games. I did this for 40 games.
After this, loading into control still places me in a lobby with the same caliber player (4k, 20 bomb, Diamond/Master/Pred).
This should make casual players VERY VERY happy. It means certain players can’t intentionally tank their performance to gain easier lobbies.
Unfortunately this also means that a high ELO player can be locked into a scenario in which they become exclusive fodder for the players who truly occupy the top percentage in terms of skill. Again— I’m sure this make some lower level players very happy, but I think it’s actually hardly “fair”.
I wish Respawn EA would be more transparent about their matchmaking system— I wouldn’t have to spend so much time doing these dumb tests.

A good match can push you to higher skill matches, but bad matches keep you in the same skilled lobbies.
This stops death abuses to drop down to low level lobbies for high kill games, which is amazing.
But it also means that through random "good" luck you will slowly get pushed into higher and higher skill lobies, which inadvertendly puts you into a lobbie above your level.
Now if that skill level is reachable for you then this is still okay since you will get better. But if not, then the difficulty will ratchet up untill the game is a horrible wade of getting pubstomped game after game.
This might also explain why after a slightly decent BR game I get stuck into lobbies with a bunch of sweaty 4k 20 bomb for multiple games in a row even if I get deleted many times in a row.
