Vote to make Solo permanent ?

At the launch of the game i was one of them players trying to find, explaine and to give any possible reason to other gamers on why a solo mode was what we really needed! 

Today i can say that i was, maybe, wrong; the solo mode built this way doesn't really satisfy me.

Now, i do not know if it has been worked a lot on or if, being just a trial, it has just been kicked in in order to get a feedback.

Gamewise: you don't have team mates anymore but, in the other hand, you still have a ping system (even tho without comments!) which is something that made me think that this mode has been made just to make someone happy, like when a child is ready to cry and you just give him what he wants!

Now the gamer side: i never ever complained about people who camp, they never bother me and personally never been an issue; only now i can say that i can actually notice the plague; as i said few times i stand for campers when they are skilled and good at sniping, landing every shot from kilometers away. 

What i can't do is to play with people who hide, they ruin my game and it's something i hate since when i first started playing videogames because they just change the way how i play the game. I believe that knowing straight away where the ring will be just increases the campers % outside the ring waiting for somebody to kill!

So, i say that i would't go for a permanent solo mode unless it will be worked on the ring, the ping system and given its own taste and meaning.

This is, of course, my feedback but i. Really curious to hear what all the community have to say, looking forward to it! 

If they stamp out the teamplay in solo i'd be happy to see it stay. Nothing more frustrating than finishing 3rd place due to blatant teamwork in a solo format.

Don't really care, it was only introduced to patch over the more serious issues.

I played a few matched last night mixing between a few of the characters. At first it felt great and a little refreshing but soon the slow camping/hiding in corners of the map took place. I just felt so bored and that excitement went away quickly. They need a few changes to make the mode better; 

• Possible changes to the ring. Timing and randomized position changes. 
• Character issues. Typically its pathfinder and octane you see on the solo battlefield. This is extremely boring and not sure what they could do to change this effect, since the characters were originally designed for team play.
• Remove the top challenges from this mode. IMO this promotes the camping/hiding. 
• Third party is always a thing in BR but its again worse in this mode. They should implement a gain health/shield on kill. This would help give player a chance to react after a fight. 

In my overall opinion, i'm OK with this game mode. More modes are needed and this is a start. Just needs some fine tuning. I would love to see a Duo's mode added. That way you still get that team play vibe and you don't need that random third wheel. 

They can make it permanent, but I am not playing it. Camping is terrible and I honestly don't care if people camp that much, but it is only camping in this mode. The camping people force me to camp and I don't like playing that way.

If they added a system that would 'ping' a static player on the minimap with a dot or something if they were not moving for 10 seconds, it might help to combat camping and I would consider playing it more.

I could foresee they will trial duo mode next.

I'll stand by my original statement that solos will not work in APEX. There are too many people dropping, not enough loot to defend yourself, and 40 people eliminated in the first circle. Ridiculous. No wonder people camp. It's the best way to get these challenges. I won't play solos unless they take away the abilities, limit the amount of each legend per match, put another 2-3 good locations on the map, or fix the loot pool. 

I was against solo's right up until I tried it. Now I'm all for it staying permanently.

So,

1. Thoughts 

Plus:

• It doesn't feel as crowded or unbalanced as I expected (may be because it's only a day old).
• Matches are fairly short, while you can get more kills than in team mode and less toxicity from other players. 
• If you land in the proper place, you have access to a lot of loot.

Minus:

• Although I've seen all kinds of legends used, Pathfinder is clearly the best choice, as the grapple hook gives the legend the possibility to evade vertically, to cover a lot of ground quickly and to easily reach places that other legends can't or have a hard time to access. Good thing there aren't many masters at using this legend. 
• Starting from round 2, there's too much 3rd partying. If you can't keep the time to kill low, there is a very high chance of getting ambushed while healing / looting the deathbox. It's very risky to start a fight, you have way more chances to advance to the top / win if you hide and camp, jumping on already weakened enemies.
• It's too much gambling if you land in a place with many others because who lands on a devotion / havoc / r99 can easily wipe out the neighbours but, If you land far from other players, the match becomes pretty boring. That is because you can gear up to purple fairly fast but then, by the time you reach a place with other players to put that high tier gear to work, most of the enemies are dusted and the survivors are camping.
• This mode doesn't feel as dynamic and tactical as team mode, making it less fun and more boring, especially with the lack of the voice lines that legends in the same squad used.

2. Permanence:

• Sure, why not, but I'd favor other game modes to this one.

3. Improvements:

• It needs something to make it a bit less of a gamble, like restrictions to certain types of weapons per match or per round, more loot coming in mid-game,  maybe rings that would not be one inside the other, or no more loot in the central areas and a single ring with hich sting damage closing slowly but constantly one minute after dropping...
