OK a few things:
1.) Movement. Movement. Movement. Currently you're still playing in beginner Lobbies so you can easily survive encounters without much movement cause people just have garbage aim. But in order to better survive a 1 vs.1 (meaning you take less damage while fighting an enemy) you have to move. The basic is A-D-Strafing (name literally says what you have to do: when standing in front of an enemy you press the "A" and "D" button continuously so that you're harder to hit; on console you just move your stick left and right), the more advanced version is crouchstrafing where you add crouching to your A-D-Strafing. While going left-right-left-right... you also crouch and stand up again quickly. I see it again and again that people just miss all their shots. Better players obviously hit more but more than enough I have encountered former preds that just miss their shots and then die.
This video shows this very well: https://youtu.be/n9SplLKGh-o
The Wraith that I am fighting is a former Pred with ~16.000 Kills. Yet she got smoked cause she missed her shots. I mean granted I also miss a lot but tbh that's because the Spitfire is garbage in Hipfire in general. When you crouchstrafe you hit maybe 1 out of 10 shots. But also I've gotten better by now 😉
This video also shows how crouchstrafing can help you avoid getting hit: https://youtu.be/F00Z7JHEaQw (I die in the end but there is only so much you can do)
2.) The way you approach enemies. A squad should always stay together. If you then encounter an enemy you can focus fire them and how long will an enemy with maybe blue shield stand when 3 people shoot at the same time? Not very long if the people hit something. Do that and boom, it's 3 vs. 2 already. If possible kill the knocked enemy instantly to prevent them from getting revived again. Shooting a knocked enemy also tells you if they have a golden knockdown shield cause they are forced to use it. If not they are dead anyway and it doesn't matter anymore. But if you shoot them and you see that they got a golden Knockdown shield you can try to kill em asap or at least keep them on your mind.
3.) Communicate. Communicate where you want to go. What weapons do you have? Does anyone need anything else? In case you're fighting enemies: Communicate what shield and gun they have. How much damage you already dealt to them. Which enemies is going where? Call all kinds of details. You and your mates need as much info as possible to determine the best approach. If a squad attacks you and, say, the bloodhound of the team is like 40m away from the other 2 and one of you deals him 80dmg to a blue shield just quickly tell your teammates "The bloodhound got 80 on a blue shield! He's cracked! Push him he's alone!!". I mean what do you think will the bloodhound do? Smoke all 3 of you while only having like 90HP? That might happen in advanced lobbies when a good player has a lucky/amazing moment. But usually that means the end for the enemy. And then it's already 2 vs. 3 again - advantage for you.
4.) Don't stick to disadvantageous fights. You encountered an enemy squad that had highground and better cover. That's another disadvantage apart from the fact that you split up and let them smoke you 1 by 1. First bloodhound pushed in solo and got killed, then you got shot low because you were in the open without cover and you had lowground and then your last mate got pushed and killed.
5.) Work with grenades. Grenades can be used to scatter enemy squads. An enemy that has your frag grenade right under their a$$ can't shoot you. They are busy with running away. Thermites can be used to stall enemies cause usually enemies abstain from walking through a thermite (at least in advanced Lobbies, not sure if newbies think like that as well). And Arc Stars are ideal to destroy doors. Ever had the situation that you got an enemy REALLY low? But in the last second with maybe 20HP left they rescue themselves into a building and they take a Phoenix kit behind the door but you can't kick the door in cause if you do they will shoot you first and possibly kill you? Throw an Arc Star or a Thermite to destroy the door. Now they are either forced to run further and escape you long enough to take a bat or so, or they have to fight you with like 20HP which will probably result you winning that 1 vs. 1.
6.) Shield Swap if possible, especially during a fight. You fight someone and your purple body shield is gone. You try to run away for a second to reload your gun and reset the fight a little. There is no time take a shield bat, let alone 3 or 4 cells. But you DO run across a new, full white body shield. What do you do? Take it and push the enemy that is still hurt from your fight. You got an extra 50HP again because of the new shield. In a fight, a fresh white shield is better than a cracked purple shield. Additionally it might also startle the enemy cause they think "Ha! I broke their body shield" but then you suddenly have a new body shield. This element of surprise could help you win the fight.
7.) Better aim is also useful/necessary but that simply requires training/routine. I started playing M&K shooters with Apex. So at the beginning I was pretty garbage. But after a total of around 2200hrs I'd say my aim is pretty decent.
