What do they mean? Escalated and Priority Cases.

I managed to get my Hacked and Banned case " escalated" and had a "priority note" added to it. What exactly does this mean? Does it mean I'm more likely to to have my case solved quicker or are there so many similar cases that are escalated and made priority that it's just the same long waiting game as before?
