What does cross play need?

What is missing from cross play in terms of features? What could be improved upon?

I would really like two things, some type of party chat that we can start. Right now when you game with people on different platforms you have deal with the chat dropping through load screens.

I think some type of party chat would really improve the cross play experience.

I agree I wish they had a party chat option and a forum where you can find people on the game. Like a looking for party chat to make friends etc.

@DarthValtrex You just mentioned one of the two things you want.

I want the function to block an EA account when in home screen. Now you can block when you’re still in-game but as soon as you leave (at least on xbox) you can only invite or see banner.

Next... blocking EA account... or even on same platform blocking someone withholds them from being in your party. I get it far too often really that I play with someone and think ‘my gosh this person sucks like a vacuum’ and go to block them on Xbox (which does nothing but prevents communication) just to see that I already blocked them, meaning I already played with them in the past and that person sucked then as well. Sometimes I even recognize name from weeks or months ago...

@DarthValtrex Fortnite does party chat cross console which is on during loading screens so this current tech, it should and will be done but when.

@Koochi-Q Oh yeah I was half asleep when I wrote this thread.

The other would be on the report feature, to report unsporting behavior. It's rare now but every once in a while you see stuff.

They need a way to separate console and PC, unless they allow console players to also use keyboard and mouse.

not to mention PC has controller support on apex, but not the other way around for consoles? :/
Incase ppl say “get gud”, I have a full time job so I’d like to enjoy the game with what little free time I have to spare.
Anyone know if they allow console players to use the official xbox supported keyboard and mouse?
Just gunna turn off cross play for now, would rather wait for a fair game.

@bjfry123 Crossplay includes Xbox and PS4.

Don't play with your PC friends if you don't want PC lobbies.

@bjfry123 Right now PC and Console are separate unless you join a player on PC.

So it's really on console vs console, you won't see any PC players in the console lobbies. How ever you will see console players in the PC lobbies, if they join their friends.

@bjfry123 You should probably reread how crossplay works. If somehow you are in PC lobbies without matching with them, post some videos to show the bugs. Everyone that claims this never can.
