What is it that Octane players don't understand?

@MandatoryIDtag  exactly, I can say the same for other legends. You have no idea how many Bangalores I have seen using the smoke needlessly, even when nothing around them is happening. They somehow think its safer to loot or open Care Packages that way. Which is understandable if they are actually getting shot, but otherwise, what's the point? Honestly, I think that only attracts attention, and its annoying. 

There are a lot of bad Octane players out there. And I see the biase in picking Octane because he's a character that can be used to play all alone in a Team game.  So I don't like the character in general.

But there have been a few really good Octane players out there, and often it's hard to tell right away, because they could be out there running on their own.  But they don't push the zone away from their team mates, making other players have to play badly to keep up.  Rather good Octanes are always mobile, they can operate farther from the team, but don't selfishly force others to push.  I've seen the great ones rescue the whole team, either before or even after their down, using the advantage of mobility to flank and engage by surprise, without sacrificing their mates in the process.

@AcidicSoda44031  it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, s1 bang players were a plague due to the general lack of experience all around lol.

Every comment from an octane in this thread is case in point, zero understanding of how squad play works and just too selfish to even listen.

They shout at you if you dont engage when they do (cos they stimmed half way across olympus)

They shout at you if they get downed and you werent there (cos they stimmed halfway across olympus)

Invariably they stim around engaging everything till they jump in between a 4 way battle and die( your fault cos your a trash main, NOT cos they stimmed halfway across olympus)

And best, they stim into a battle, get you locked up with maybe two squads and then stim out and leave you to die, not even a thought to banner recovery, they are SO selfish the thought doesnt enter their mind.

All this selfishness is fine cos 4 kills will invariably drag you out of gold but this is where the real cesspit begins because they employ the same tactic in platinum without the basic understanding that if you want to ever leave plat 4 you need to balance kills with a strat that will get you placement as well.

Hell, 4 or 5 kills and no placement in diamond will leave you minus RP but then again they will NEVER hit that level because they are so bad yet so deluded they think they are good.

ANY player that is stupid enough to think they can go it alone without employing their entire squad and all the ults and benifits that go with it will just stay low level scrubs and ruin the game for anyone else that actually wants to keep climbing.

And thats what boils my urine, not that they are bad but that in every game they ruin it for two other people.

Respawns buffs keep leaning him further and further toward trash solo squad mediocre players.
