What is the secret to the longbow?
I’m good with a G7 and a triple take, but I can’t land shots consistently with the longbow..

- @DarthValtrex Try quickscoping and leading your shots just a tiny bit, should improve your game with it
- @DarthValtrex Quickscope with iron sights btw, forgot to mention it, for me personally I found it to be way more accurate than with a scope for some reason
What's a Longbow? There's another sniper rifle aside from the Kraber, G7, Charge Rifle and Triple Take?

@DarthValtrex, don’t use it without any kind of scope. Unless someone is 30 feet or less from you. 3x HCOG is the secret young Skywalker.
- @Koochi-Q Longbow is basically 2 shot kills now if you land headshots... i believe they buffed they damage but nerfed the fire rate.
It’s definitely a competitive gun again.
@Wingmannedbro i’ve been doing the 4x-8x. My favorite is the 2x-4x that works well on the G7 and triple take. I’ll try the 3x on the longbow. @DarthValtrex Travel time is where its at. Get your head around increments of 100 on a running target and then it's easier to work out where you need to be placing your bullets at 200/300m and so forth. After that's it's just fine tuning which you'll get used to over time anyway.

Take your time to practice it in the firing range. Pick 2, one with 4x-8x (or 10x), the other with 2x-3x(4x), fill a golden backpack with heavy ammo, then enable the AI enemies with the cheat, they're much better than the fixed / slow moving targets and sometimes have an unpredictable change of direction. Try that for like 30 minutes, then go into matches and you'll probably see improvements.
The abuse of G7 may be a reason why the Longbow feels inconsistent. Many players got used to spam shots fast and use hipfire more in close range while jumping and running around. This doesn't work with the Longbow, as it has a slow sway and fire rate, while it also doesn't benefit of the generous projectile spread of the Triple Take.

- @DoYaSeeMe When I use the Triple Take it is fully choked so the spread is not a huge part of it. I find the Triple Take is really only effective with the choke and when you land head shots, other wise it's really only good for close combat.. Without the choke you get outshot by the G7, Charge Rifle or what ever it is.
For some reason I have a hard time following the projectile from the Longbow so I have a difficult time seeing if the bullet is coming up short or going to long. I've run into the same issue with the kraber, I'm so inconsistent with the Kraber I'll only pick it up if my team mates don't want it.
Perhaps I should go get some glasses?!
