I shoot someone for 190 damage and some dude from another team shoots him once 300 meters away and gets the kill, the game should at least give me half of the RP as per the damage that I did.
@maximas1986This the only case that's really frustrating when it comes to kill stealing but having average damage determine RP is not the solution. All those snipers will just exploit it.

@hayhor Yeah, if damage gets you RP then everybody would just play with a charge rifle in order to farm damage, ruining the game.

The biggest peak this year was the weekend of April 30th, followed by another, a bit lesser peak July 11th ish, on Twitch.
The ranked system was changed on May 10th, the start of Season 13. Except for that July pop, it's been a steady decline since, just sayin.

@hayhorI don't agree. Charge rifles are already part of the game and people are farming with them already. I can deal out massive damage with a flatline, 301, or spitfire very easily. I don't think the idiots in this community would care anyways. They are still going to charge into a 99% certain death situation and duke out 200 damage for the KP. As long as KP outweighs damage, then the issue for damage would resolve a lot while maintaining the integrity of the current situation.
They need to find a way to implement damage into the ranked system regardless. Good players are going to push those charge rifles very easily. If the charge rifle becomes that big of a problem, remove it from the game straight up. I can use any sniper effectively and often love using a sentinel for how hard it hits. I can get one shot knocks very easily while amped.- hayhor3 years agoHero@anab0lix Anyway back on topic. I do not have a problem if damage was factored in in some way. I am talking damage on a player that is not knocked. But kills still matter and need to mean more. Without them the game would never end.
The bigger issues with ranked as I see it-
1 - Unlimited KP - People are now going for the big KP games, even though in the process they lose more than they gain dying to get that one big game. When KP was limited, people would take fights smarter. But people that could not play a lot complained this limited how far they could get.
2 - Matchmaking is too loose. It used to be golds were mainly with golds, plats with plats and so forth. Now it seems like its a complete mix of anything.
3 - Split demotion with no cap on the overall demotion. For example, I have not played ranked at all in a couple seasons and if I went in now I would be Bronze IV. That is not really fair to true bronze IV players.
4 - All of the above make the whole process a grind. I believe it is more for engagement. It keeps you grinding. For what? A trail, badge and charm? I do not get the infatuation people have.
Also, some people go into ranked because the lobbies are easier than their pubs due to some extreme pub matchmaking. I met a guy many seasons ago who told me he was kill grinding.....in plat ranked. When I asked why he did not just play pubs he told me because plat meant he was in easier lobbies.
If you fix the above, you would not need any damage factor.
