So two things can be assumed here:

1. If Respawn truly isn't having any time crunches held down by EA, then all the crap that's buggy, untested, or clunky has passed through their own quality assurance department and they went, "Yeah this is good." Meaning that having 20hz servers is fine for them, having gimmicky rereleases of old events is fine for them, having terrible net-code and audio issues persist for seasons on end is fine for them, because it's making them money. They've also said multiple times they don't know what they're doing, which is really what you want to hear from people who sell you 18 dollar skins.

2. If EA is putting a time crunch on the devs, it's most likely to push for more sellable cosmetics rather than fixes for pre-existing issues.
