With the original Arena's mode, everyone just kept choosing the same guns, gameplay became pretty stale IMO.
Always the same L-Stars everywhere, beaming everything.
Current solution isn't great either I suppose, restricting gameplay in general can be unfun, though considering they would mainly balance for BR over Arena's, it's a decent solution to prevent the same guns constantly dominating every round, making everything just repeat over and over.
