Level cap is meant to prevent content burnout. They will probably come up with a cap increase in the near future, when there's enough content ready to cover the extra free packs awarded.
- hayhor5 years agoHero@DoYaSeeMe They add a new legend every season. They added a new weapon this season. They added holosprays. Lots of stuff has been added you can pack.
- 5 years ago@hayhor Well, a legend has like 40-50 skins (exclusive ones included), a weapon less than that. 100 packs( for climbing 500 levels) require up to 300 rewards. Some Apex trackers do count the uncapped level and some players are well over 3000 by now, that's more than 630 packs. Add the extra LTM, battlepass and quest packs, then factor in the chances or guarantees of receiving higher tier rewards... Already feels like this would affect sales seriously and make the content draught feel much worse.
Another thing that very few think about: performance costs. There's more and more stuff to be loaded for each match. In theory, a match should have to hold up to 60 legend skins, up to 60 banners, up to 60 skydive emotes, up to 1440 weapons skins (24 weapons x 60 players), hundreds of quips, countless charms, badges, now sprays... I'm beginning to seriously doubt that the minimum requirements PC is able to run a fully loaded match without making it a slideshow or die with a BSOD at the moment of the drop. I stopped wondering a long time ago why there are so many issues with the game.
