Why do 99% of players do this in BR games?
Almost every match I play (not just in Apex, but any BR I've tried), it feels like 99% of the lobby drops at the same location and just leaves the rest of the map almost deserted... I've wondered this and asked this for years. Sure, you're right in the action, but fat load of good that does you if you can't find a weapon vs. the guy who found a fully kitted havoc and melts you and your team in the first 5 seconds of the match... Sounds super fun, and...I guess for that lucky guy who did find the havoc and got some kills, it is, but how many games did he play before having that lucky hot drop, and how long before he runs out of ammo and heals and dies to the inevitable third party?
Why am I in the minority of players who like to drop quietly, loot for a bit, then find some action? How can people have fun panic grabbing whatever is in front of them and hope it's a weapon that can actually kill, then realize they have a mozambique/p2020 vs. someone who found a peacekeeper/r301 or another actual weapon... Literally my experience 99% of the time if I'm forced to drop "hot and sweaty" (if I'm even lucky to find a weapon at all that is *dies with an inventory full of white shotgun bolts*).
Heck, even if I have control of the jump, 99% of my random teammates either break off and go hot, or land with me to just pick up like one thing and run off before I've even had a chance to find a gun... Either they're crazy and think they can take on the world with nothing, or they're that lucky guy who got the fully kitted weapon first try... Either way, I'm still looking for something useable while they're already a mile away...
I'm so sick of BR... Why even have large maps if people just want to drop in one spot? You may as well just have a BR map that's Capital/Fractured City or Skull town since that's where everyone drops/dropped... There's loot literally everywhere else besides the big named location (unless you're playing Storm Point 😛). They're large maps that are more than just one or two buildings you have to land on (if you're on World's Edge, you know which ones I'm talking about🙂
Seriously...why does literally everyone at World's Edge fight over this one area??? UGH!!!
