why do people leave when their teammates get downed ?

I’ve noticed a lot recently that whenever I get downed + one of my teammates do then the third will just quit even though they’re still alive ? I just had a mirage do it to me and it boggles my brain https://vshare.onl/

  • At least 90% of it has to do with the matchmaking ... if you really would get teamed up with similar skilled players they are more likely to stay.
Yea i know the Queuetimes ... but if the queue times would be longer due to a more precise matchmaking , ppl would also stay in the game bcs it wouldnt take some seconds to get a fresh match but rather minutes
I can relate to everyone leaving when they get paired up with players way below their stats, most of the time those players underestimate the situation they are in.
My account has a very high killcount, so its more than unlikely that it will be a walk in the park, when i then get teammates that arent aware on how to use their ultimate, when to attack and (even more important)  when to retreat i just quit, its not even worth to respawn them, since literally the same would happen after the respawn ...
It makes no sense to match players with the "touch grass" playstyle in a team with tryhards or any other seasoned player, they simply play a different game.
We had a lot of discussion about this on here over the years ... was better pre Season 7, back then ppl wouldnt just leave , MM felt way more balanced.

  • @martisg1My guess is they didn't like the way you pushed or maybe you didn't down anyone on the enemy team. At that point they decide they can't 1v3 and don't want to waste the time. It used to be if you quit it didn't count as a death so I always assumed those people were avoiding deaths. That doesn't work any more though.

Unfortunately quitting games has really gotten out of hand. I've been playing a lot of the finals. I watch people die on their first push and instantly quit constantly. What's funny is when they get backfilled back into the match and keep quitting.

  • People are simply tired of these situations in which 90% of you are shot down either by those who use aim assist or soft aimbot, I also often leave only because I understand if on the other side the enemy uses some trick or aimassist or the server itself doesn't record hits or do 7 or 12 max damage.
This happens because they have made the game boring because from my point of view the aim assist should be abolished first and then the rest because if you decide to play from the console you are aware that on the other side you will find someone who uses the mouse..

What? If you mouse for Apex on console, you're cheating.

Quitting games counts as a death now in pubs??

  • @martisg1Because if you are a solo queue random team and one of you dies instantly, there is a 99.9% chance your game is over. If you are the one who died, you're rage quitting most of the time. It is all matchmaking related made worse by the amount of cheaters and smurfs out there. Simple really.

If you've been playing the game for a long time then you are always consulting the Apex Calculator in your brain. That calculator provides very fast and very accurate data on many different game factors. How far away from me are my downed teammates? Did they down anyone before they went down? Did they go down in a building where they're easily camped or in the open? How fast did they go down? What are the odds of getting them back up without getting killed? What are the odds that I'll get their banner and trudge to a safe respawn beacon just to have them quit when I get there? Do I have anything in my kit that makes me want to continue to the end of the match alone? Is the next circle giving me advantage or is it an impossible rotation to a bad position? Are we second circle with four squads left or fourth circle with ten? I'm sure there's more I'm just not thinking of at the moment. But that's what's going through my head when 90% of the time I leave the game after my teammates go down. If one is still up I'll stay, but if both go down I better have a level three tripletake and a gold devotion if Respawn thinks I'm gonna stay in that match. It's nothing against my teammates. I'm not angry at them, or even frustrated at this point. But I'm also not going to give a free kill to some diamond three stack because my squadmates self-destruct.

  • I like the apex calculator comment. Sums it up. If my teammate was jumpmaster and deliberately hot dropped on 4 other squads then both my teammates are down before I have found a weapon, my apex calculator already puts me back in the lobby. Other situations are obvious how bad the game is going to be, and rather than try to break my controller I leave and do something else.

For those of us who leave when 2 teammates are down, it really is just about we have played enough 1 vs 3 games it just isn’t fun anymore. We all can’t be Faide and I don’t even pretend I am.

@mastiffslinger i like a good double rescue action , pads my stats.
My Respawn Count is way higher than my average teammates killcount 😉
