@Peri_Longbow_plzgun sound can be improved for sure. But Apex is a fast paced game, so doing anything to traversal is just bad.
Besides 3 teams landing in the same location will always end up in a third party. You can't do anything about that.
Even if gun sound is reduced, third parties will still exist.
You can't fully prevent third-party encounters. But you can reduce them to a bearable amount. Or at least reduce their occurrence to a level where every player perhaps encounters it once or twice in every fifth match. Just a random number.
Let's face it, we run around searching for a fight. There are two ways to do that. You either bump into someone and fight with them, or you follow the obvious gunfire that emanates from beyond the hill in the next city 200 meters away. (whether it's actually 200 meters or not I don't know, I didn't measure my gun sound range) That's two weakened squads, so in theory a potential of 6 kills to be gained. The sad part is that the former option rises the risk of having multiple squads nearing your location, which makes you the very victim of the thing that you do, which again will turn your location into a combat hotspot, which can quickly go as far as having 5+ squads gone within a matter of seconds.
Two ways to fix this. Make gun fire less loud. That would be unrealistic, but then again we're sitting here with sci-fi stuff, so every weapon could have a silenced mechanism. Second option could be to make weapon sounds at a certain range just vague and not locate-able. So if you're 200 meters away from an active gunfire, all you hear would be fire from above. As weird as it sounds, that would even have the potential to lure people into the wrong direction. It only gets more directional as you near it. Just a thought.
