I'd assume EAC probably dropped support for Win7, causing this mess.

Or are you guys still able to play other EAC protected games?

@XHelperZ No other EAC games here, but I get the impression it's not EAC, since EAC always starts up fine and lingers for a while. The self-repair util in EAC reported no issues either.

Upon starting Apex, once the EAC window left, it would wait a moment then pop up the error. In Steam it actually reported error 0xc000000c.
