Apex Account Banned(possibly Hacked) and no response from EA

HI,

I'm a casual Apex Legends player Who's been playing apex legends since day one, and still play the game from time to time. I have my EA acc linked to my Steam acc, and I play Apex using Steam. Recently(Jan 20), i think When me and a Couple of friends decided to play some apex, and as soon as I joined the lobby I got an error saying Client banned :banned . This shook me out of surprise because I never hacked a game nor even thought about using Cheats, not even macros on games. I Despise hackers and now I was banned from the game for hacking. I tried contacting EA, submitted a case but got no response, even now i Have two open cases with one saying no fix available.

After the first ticket I logged into the game and I noticed that some things were off in my account

  • I had at least 600 or 700 apex coins and they were gone
  • I had Almost 2400 crafting materials and they were reduced to 900
  • My Weapon skins and Gun skins were changed
  • When i went into the range, the player name is Different. Not the Steam name, not the origin name. A completely different name

I still am bamboozled on how this happened because, I had a pretty strong password and I never gave my password to anyone. Please help because I still love to play this game and I don't want to loose my account for something I didn't even do

  • I am going through the same issue currently. As best I can tell, someone gained access to my account on January 6 and was banned the same day. I logged on January 7 to find that I am banned and submitted a support ticket the same day. I changed all my passwords on every account and every email account I use, but it looks like only my Origin account was "hacked." I also play through Steam.


    Search for how to download your EA data and you should be able to look through it and find the login attempts that were not you and potentially use them as proof of your innocence. However, everything I am reading about ban appeals, makes me less than confident that my ban will be reversed. Reading about other peoples' experiences with this same issue is depressing AF. It's an awful feeling that EA has not contacted me at all almost a month later and I can even see the case when it updates every couple of days.

    Support for this kind of issue is absolutely abysmal and makes me feel bad. I doubt I will ever play an EA game again.

  • Even more Confusing News,

    They decided to Flag one of my tickets as "Not Fixable." I mean WTF, how does a problem like can be flagged as not fixable without even contacting the person who put it. Its been almost two weeks since my first ticket and still I haven't gotten a single email from EA. What an abysmal customer support this is.

    Well my two tickets for the same issue (Origin hacked and a/c used for cheating) are marked as 'fixed', I'm still clearly banned. Absolutely appalling customer service.

    I'm facing the same issue EA has absolutely pathetic customer service. i linked my steam account to apex to play with my friends on january 17th and when i connected to a game i got the message client account banned. what's funny is i have checked my EA game data, on 6th of january my account has been logged in hongkong which is clearly where i am not from nor visited,

    more over this issue has happened to many players including streamers i wonder if the login details leak is from ea itself.

    and few of the streamers have been unbanned after the same thing happening to them i.e. someone named Spaceanubis has been banned in apex the same way as me but guess what he has been unbanned, but my ticket is "In Progress" since 4 weeks+.

    People come to these forums for help. Telling to people to keep waiting to not really helpful at all now is it? At some point you Mods/ EA employees need to become mature adults take some responsibly and get people answers. I do not mean to grill you but seriously, why even respond if that's the case.

    Take a moment and read your response to this thread. FIND YOURSELF A DIFFRENT JOB if this is all you are going to come up with.
