Apex after Season 21 upd is not only lagging, but makes my whole PC lag also.
After Season 21 Update I've ran into a lag/stutter bug with the red speaker icon. At first it was annoying but bearable, I just needed to play a couple games and sound would be working fine after. But couple of days later (14.05 to be exact) it got pretty extreme. When I log into the game, it's playable for a couple of minutes, but after it becomes really stuttery, suddenly freezes and the sound is buzzing. Not only that, after closing the game because it's bacisally unplayable - whole system keeps lagging. Mouse cursor is stuttering and lagging, windows are opening in 3 fps and watching videos is impossible because the sound is always buzzing and video is lagging by itself. The only way to get rid of it is to reboot my PC.
I've tried a lot of things:
- updating drivers
- switching RAM frequency
- turning Discord off while playing
- disconnecting Xbox gamepad and headphones
- switching headphones
- disconnecting everything from PC
- running benchmarks and all necessary checkups
I've also tested other games - they run just fine. No lagging, no stuttering, no sound issues. Tested on GTA V and RDR2. Not sure what to do next, as not only the game is unplayable, but it also breaks the whole system.
I've recently upgraded my RAM, motherboard and CPU, but before 14.05 I've not experienced any issues of this kind. Nobody on Reddit and etc. seems to experience the same.
My specs are:
System: Windows 11
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400F 2.50 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6Gb
RAM: 3600 Mhz 32 GB
SSD: 250 GB
HDD: 1 TB (Apex is installed on HDD)
