Apex causes Xbox to overheat

So I've been having this problem with Apex lately that has been stopping me from playing the game, I have an original black Xbox one that is about 4-5 years old and every time I boot up Apex I can get to about the part where I am at the main lobby. Once I'm in the lobby the game crashes my entire Xbox and I get a overheating error on screen and I have no other problems with any other game I have on my Xbox. I have reason to partially believe that I has to do with coding that is causing my Xbox to do a manual reset and it gives me a overheated error to justify what happened but I'll leave that up to you EA to figure it out. (Outside of all this I've done a power cycle on my systems power supply and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game a few time but it only works for about 2-3 weeks then goes back to the same problem).

  • Thank you for trying but when I went to Xbox Support they had no information on how to help me and I believe it has to do with Apex itself I found out from another Apex player that Olympis is in rotation right now and I seemed to have the same problem back when Olympis was in rotation last time so I can't think but to say it may have correlation with my situation considering I was able to play the game in full with no problems when Kings Canyon was in rotation and so I believe that the map may be the Primary cause of the bug that is shutting down my xbox because it isn't overheating it's giving me the error as if it did. (I've tried my best to make sure this was accurate so hopefully you can help this time)

Yes! I’ve been having the same issue and I have no idea what to do other than endure the 4-5 crashes it takes to play one match then crash again. I know you posted this over a year ago, but have you managed to figure anything out?
